Furry Fandom and Drama General

Whenever I see children afflicted by a deadly and agonizing disease, I think that the proper treatment is to have them "entertained" by a shrieking pervert in a costume that reeks of various body fluids masked by an entire can of Febreze.

The kids would be safer with John Wayne Gacy in his clown outfit.

Dillard and her boyfriend, identified as 24-year-old Jacob Berkovitz, were arrested for murder after they posted a dating ad to lure the victim. Police say the couple planned to rob and kill the person who answered the ad.

The investigation shows that the victim had picked up Dillard and Berkovitz on Friday and brought them to his residence located near the 2200 block of Colebrook Street, near Lamb Boulevard and Judson Avenue.

Once the involved parties all went inside the home, the victim was robbed and killed.

They seem like winners. I wonder what they were up to.

Depression due to the point of being hospitalized. Cool.

For a suicide attempt. Great!

And you moved out of a horrible living situation because it was miserable. Glad you escaped that "nightmare house."

They were living in a motel studio apartment and paying rent by the week by making and selling fursuits, that's nice. I'm glad they were able to make rent that way.

A woman walked into Spring Valley Area Command Friday and said a friend told her that her and her boyfriend killed a man the night before. She told police that Dillard and Berkovitz planned to hide the body in California. The suspect also sent a picture of the body to the woman who gave police the tip.

Oh, you're saying they made rent by luring somebody into the "nightmare house," fucking murdering them, pawning all of their possessions, and leaving the corpse there until a friend called the cops? Awesome. A fur's gotta do what a fur's gotta do, after all.

Castiel appears in a lot of tweets on the twitter account "blackcraftwitch." Castiel appears to have been a good dog. RIP.

Only furries are the kind of people who could murder someone and decide that it's a great idea to boast about it to their friend, including where they plan to hide the body. I feel bad for the family of the random victim killed though. Nobody should have to die from an exceptional money making scheme from furries who spent more time ebegging than delivering art/fursuits.

In other news some furries are handling the news the only way they know how: by yelling that mutuals followed them. I don't think any of them knew that these people were murderers until today.

And Natrually all the furries that considered them Friend are beginning to canibalize them for furry clout. Watch as "popular furs" start saying I knew they were bad they rot in hell and etc... when 3 weeks they were they are my best furry friend. no honor amongst furries that's for sure.

I wouldn't have believed that twitter furries police each other's follow lists so heavily. It's an interesting insight, particularly since who somebody follows means jack shit about them. Gotta look like you're being moral about something, though. Fucking kids is okay, but don't you dare follow a furry who follows a furry who drew a picture of a cartoon dog in a cop uniform once. Following the wrong person makes you one of those evil nazi furries.

Oh, and I fucking love the trigger warning about "murder/murderers within the fandom." Y'know, for furries who want to read about murder but might get upset at the notion that a furry is doing the murdering.

This is literally one of the reasons cancel campaigns are so effective on furry Twitter and similar subcultures. They'll go after all their followers for following the canceled individual and if they don't unfollow this person they get the block too. It's very similar to say the Scientology disconnection policy among other cult tactics. It also doesn't take into account someone following said account to laugh at their tweets among other things.

In this case though there's really no need to do this. The person killed someone, the tweet/news report saying they did went viral, and really nobody knew this guy was a murderer until today. Hence that's why I said it's the only way some furries knew how to cope with this, most of the tweets were condemning the furry in question or sharing "he scammed me/he did art for me years ago" stories. Yet there were a few furries that had to shout "UNFOLLOW THIS SICK FUCK" because they're so used to doing that on Twitter when someone does something minuscule in comparison.

Makes you wonder if all these people noticed they were mentally ill.

Having looked at the murderers' twitter feed (archive) for a bit it's extremely fucked up, particularly in the most recent months. January and February are pretty much one prolonged cry for help, broken by occasional sketches or fursuit WIPs or photos of the dog that they would also later kill. Near the end, Jacob was constantly in and out of the hospital for suicide attempts and PTSD meltdowns and shit. He was being eaten alive by depression, and not one person among his many thousands of followers appears to have ever intervened nor sounded an alarm.

And that last part is very fucking common. Furries don't give a shit; they get on social media to jerk themselves off and hotbox each other's farts. Every furry chatroom you might wander into is guaranteed to have at least one person who's either a mental case or rapidly becoming one, somebody who spends all day desperately trying to get some attention -- any attention -- anything that will make the pain go away for a little bit. That person is always there, always raising every "this person might fucking kill themselves and/or others" red flag, and they're always treated like an epileptic whom everybody else just steps over and pretends not to notice.

I've seen it far too many times. Nobody in the fandom cares about anybody else beyond their sexytimes value. A massive proportion of furries are mentally ill, furry culture aggravates those illnesses, and one of the unspoken rules of being in the fandom is that you're not supposed to notice.

Gotta bash that fash!

As most of you Kiwis will remember, back at Further Confusion some furries supposedly saved a Uber driver from an assault and the general furry twitter reaction was 'look at this, our fandom is so awesome!'. Like the actions of a couple of furries always redeems the rest of them.

Meanwhile this happens, and all we'll hear out of furries is 'the actions of a couple of furries never condemns the rest of them.'

And of course I have to make my obligatory snipe about how the FurScience group tells us 'there is NO evidence of a higher incidence of mental illness in furries'.

My remarks aside, God DAMN this is an ugly story. These two really went off the deep end, hard.

This article: https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime...ot-to-death-in-northeast-valley-home-1993426/ (archive: http://archive.li/GXfpL) contains a few extra details.

Specifically, the victim was shot to death in a bathroom, Berkovitz was the shooter, and Dillard was (somehow) injured by the gunfire.
