Shy Hard 2: Shy Harder

Do you only think of yourself? Are you really a Christian?
Teaching is a calling. Think of the students that you may potentially affect.
If you just want to fuck foreign chicks pick up a backpack and go, but don't call yourself a teacher unless you have a passion to teach.
when I went I was both interested in meeting women and teaching
What about mail order brides?
what about them?

ok I'll add Top 5:

(in no order)

- Rob Flynn from Machine Head
- Cypress Hill
- Wu-Tang Clan
- 2pac
- Necro
Rob Flynn isn't a rapper and I think Necro is wack but a decent three. I could also argue Wu and Cypress are groups not individuals but you take what you can get. Good job.

I don't listen to enough hip-hop to have a top five. If I did have one it'd all be lame mainstream white-guy-friendly rap and would include people like Eminem and, uh.... the only other rap album I own is a Will Smith album I got when I was like 8. :(

EDIT: Oh, oh, I also apparently own Afroman's The Good Times.... I'm not helping my case any, am I?
Nothing wrong with that. Em is legit good (my number 3 actually) and while not a genius I think Will Smith is underrated. As a rapper he has more charisma than most.

Aesop Rock
Slug (from Atmosphere)
El-P
MC Ride (from Death Grips)

(emphasis on the white-guy-friendly)
Digging it. It leans towards the more hipster-hop side which is great. The more variety the better.

Remember, men have less options than women nowadays. Fact. Also citation needed.

Edit: ^ This is sarcasm, no serious bsns here.
This is my favorite bit. Men have been running the world since forever, have most of the positions of power in politics and own most major corporations. But nah, women are the real ones at an advantage.

He's done a few raps on MH songs so I put him. Like I said I hardly listen to hip hop rap in comparison to other genres.

But he isn't a rapper. That's like me saying the countless acoustic youtube covers are rappers because what they did was a rap song. Shit doesn't work like that.

@CatParty brings up a good point. Why don't you listen to hip hop. It's fly as fuck. Do you just like having wack taste?

And it's not like every rapper is black. Aesop Rock, Astronautalis, Grieves, Sage Francis, Scroobius Pip, Sims, Cecil Otter.... The list goes on.

Proponents of mail order bride catalogs argue that they're not really catalogs and that they're being mischaracterized. They say they're merely matchmaking services, and that their customers ultimately get together, date and fall in love.

However, it's hard to dodge the economic reality of the situation: they're women in poor countries trying to escape. Even if they ultimately learn to get along with their husbands, it doesn't erase their original motivations. They're like roommates you've met on craigslist that you make friends with.

Specifically going to poor countries to find a wife is pretty much the same thing. Doing it through mail order bride catalogs just cuts straight to the point.

because of the black people?
I'll be honest part of the reason is the music seems to be aimed at their own ppl.

But what you said doesn't really make sense as there are tons of Hispanic rappers and if what you said was true I would have loaded the list with not just Cypress Hill but others like Immortal Technique, Big Pun, Fat Joe and Pitbull.

The truth is I prefer rock music, I prefer and relate better to the emotions they convey.

1- Because the audience buying hip hop albums aren't suburban white kids? Because Childish Gambino is totally going for the same audience as Public Enemy? Drake raps about the same stuff as Gucci Mane? Hip hop is a diverse genre that covers not only different races but different economic statuses. If anything it is more diverse than some genres since it doesn't cater to just one type of person.

2- Except you wouldn't. As you've said you're a mix of races so it wouldn't just be Latino artists. Or you could branch out because you don't need to only support artists that are the same race as you. It's called diversity, look into it.

3- Rock music has all the same emotions as hip hop. Love, hate, sex, drugs, partying, hope, despair, pride. The subjects and emotions are the same in both musical genres. Maybe if you weren't wack you could see that.

Isn't Immortal Technique half black and half Latino anyway?

well I might as well come out and say it now. You're an idiot. And this last post here demonstrates that as well as any.

And I can't actually believe anybody here takes you seriously.

What about it is idiotic. Where am I wrong? Maybe you would be taken more seriously if you explained your position as opposed to going straight to name calling like a child.

Isn't Immortal Technique half black and half Latino anyway?
This is correct. More specifically he's Afro-Peruvian according to Wikipedia.

you believe that hip hop music and rock music convey the same emotions. I guess you must be talking about purely on a lyrical level.

But yes it was a very stupid thing to say.
You can get all emo and sad about getting dumped to Drake as much as something like Dashboard Confessional. You can get just as turnt up to Waka as you would with Cobra Starship or any EDM song. You can hate the world with Eminem as much as something like Slipknot or any other metal band that taps into that emotion. Hell you can even get your martial arts on with Wu Tang just like you would with the Ash song "Jackie Chan."

All of these emotions are the same across genres. You're just too close minded to see it.

Are we doing Top Fives now? @MACH-IV , where are you? If your avatars are an honest indicator of your musical predilections, I am genuinely interested in yours.
I've been gone for a few days and I haven't been following the thread.
But yea, this is a pretty good album in the right situation and a terrible album in the wrong one. The back half is the best.

This isn't the Loveshy forum, we don't have a Thunderdome, don't insult other users.

What did I say?
