Heeeeeyoooooo. Spain news time. So honestly now most people are fairly sure as soon as we keep this thing under control we're going into export trade war against china. I mean, at this point we've practically unofficially gone into war economy, so it's the logical next step. Kinda hilarious that while everyone else freaks the fuck out about lack of jobs spain seems to be salivating at the job opportunities. Guess it comes with being so much time in crisis, you get used to everything.

We also got a chink fuck that decided to try to get rich by selling fake ozone generators that were literally just boxes with covers stuck on them. The cops paid him a visit. Making his country proud! I swear I am not gonna feel bad about the growth of racism against chinks, not for a single second.

We also got a gypsy galaxybrain that decided to post on internet a video teasing people by insulting them while being on the beach, the cops also paid him a visit. Protip! When you break the law. Don't post it on the internet!

Our cops are starting to fall due to corona. I think it's 1 Mosso and 3 civilian guards now. Feelsbadman.

On other news a family member managed to catch this graph on TV and sent me a photo. So. Seems we're now clearly on the recovery part of the curve. Ladies and gents this has an end!

They enterprisingly sent this letter to everyone in the practice aged over 50 and anyone with a pre existing condition (they pulled the flu vaccine list), telling them to make a will and fill out a DNR request. This has been received epically badly.

I wear a surgical mask and a face shield. People give me weird looks but I bet I'd get even more if I wore a full CBRN mask. I see several people with masks and I'm sure I'd see a lot more if they were readily available. Eventually I'll have to wear the CBRN mask since I don't have an unlimited supply of surgical masks.

I'm also in a university town and have noticed this too. No doubt the local CCP student organs have a stockpile. There have been none in any store since Feb and the hospital has to keep them under lock and key.

Not sure if it has been mentioned here recently, but i don't think it has. A story to be found, here and there in the press, is PHE threatened NHS staff with disciplinery action if they speak out about the lack of PPE so HSJ is a good window into what is going from higher up the NHS ladder. Media being very careful with thier sources at the paramedic/GP/ nurse level .

Looking at the growing number of cases in the United States this week, it looks like the daily increases are currently at 15%, which is actually down from the 20-25% increases per-day over the past couple of weeks.

Granted, this might not mean much simply based on the fact that we're testing a lot more than we have been (and we may have hit another plateau with the amount of tests that we have), but it's good to pay attention to the daily numbers. Spikes can happen as well, so we may see an increase in percentages per day too. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

In the upcoming weeks, if we see that 15% more cases per day become a 10% or below, then I think we can say we're on our way to that curve flattening, and eventually on the downslope. We'll see, though. A 5% difference, I think, is something worth mentioning.

It's definitely worth keeping an eye on, at least.
