This is such a dumb post.

That man doesn't represent all men and doctors, that woman doesn't represent all women or nurses. They're two unique people with their own thoughts and feelings on the matter. They're both working to save lives, that’s what’s important. Also, apparently the doctor was interviewed for an article and the nurse’s post was just a venting post on social media, so of course they’d say different things.

Also, the woman has a very valid point: signing up to be a nurse or doctor doesn’t mean signing up to be a sacrificial lamb. You can get sick, yes, but most of the time you should have some measure of protection against infectious patients. All our healthcare workers should be protected by PPE. Especially nurses, they have far more contact with patients and more risk of getting sick.

I have a personal stake in this because my 8-months-pregnant sister-in-law is a nurse (thankfully she works in the newborn ICU and not with infectious patients). My family worries about her a lot.

He isn't using it to represent anyone you dope.

He is pointing out that if a Old Male Doctor (who is actually statistically in danger if he catches Wu-Flu) complained about conditions nobody would give one red fuck, but a young "pretty*" woman complaining gets attention from the talking heads.

*I am presuming she meets the mainstream metrics for attractive, I wouldn't fuck her with a Carona Virus infected Toilet Plunger myself.

I believe when those pics were first posted here, someone mentioned those lungs as actually belonging to someone who died of tuberculosis, with the black spots being symptoms of the disease. Looking at tubercular lungs online, I can definitely say that lungs can absolutely get into horrific shape before finally giving up the ghost. Most end stage tubercular lungs look like a piece of swiss cheese that's been sitting under a refrigerator for 5 years.

Anyway, this pastor and every other "Christian" who are endangering people absolutely deserve to be called out. There are a lot of times Christians don't deserve a bad rap, this is not one of them. Numerous megachurches have endangered their congregations by defying social distancing and telling people faith will protect them, if they're not outright denying the seriousness of the current situation. Just because Muslims do stupid shit too doesn't mean Christians don't deserve to be criticized when they also do stupid shit.

Switching to a credit union a decade ago was the smartest financial decision I've made in my adult life. They're not immune to bullshit (they fell right in line with all the rest of the banks & CU's when Obama's credit/debit card reforms passed in setting the highest fees allowed by the new law for overdrafts, etc., no exceptions, no waivers, ever) but they still offer a superior, less expensive (free in my case) product and faaaar better service than any for-profit bank I've ever done business with (personally or commercially). Cheaper loans, too, and they don't dick around for days deciding whether to approve or not.

What makes the "Keep God's House Open At all Costs" megachurch pastors so stupid is the fact that they're shooting themselves in the foot. Since oldies are most likely to go to church, they're also most likely to die in droves when the Coof comes to town. I seem to recall someone here mentioning the fact that the Catholic Church lost a lot of influence in Europe after the Spanish Influenza Epidemic because said church was encouraging people to come in and pray the gay coof away.
