It's these dumbass labels that Tumblr keeps making up that damages the LGBT community. They can't just be gay, lesbian, bi or trans, they have to be some made-up term when you're 1% in between something and anyone that's just either one is boring or problematic.
And straight people in denial try to shove their way into the community as "one of them" with girls pretending to be a guy to enact their yaoi fetishes or guys who wants to invade lesbian spaces in hopes to score with one as she wouldn't do that normally.

My rules of thumb are:
The more...

• ...labels they apply to themselve...
• ...pop culture they use to express themselves...

...the less personality a person has. Avoid them at all costs.

If we're being fair, 'Calypso' is a type of music originating from the afro-caribbean. It kinda makes sense with the Percy Jackson's series moving everything to America that someone living on an island off the coast with such a name could be afro-carribean. It at least makes more sense then them turning the goat dude black in the movie.

Those splotches are unforgivable in either case.

shame. if they toned down the colors and did away with the pride flag colors, these would be cute. there is a decent amount of potential, and the characters themselves aren't ugly caricatures. granted, i don't know the source material. i'm just sad when i see lost potential.

the abuse of the overlay layer in paint tool sai is so prevalent amongst these kinds of drawings. as if their drawings aren't already blindingly colorful enough.
