What did you major in, and what is your job now?

BA in Drama and later a degree in Mortuary Sciences.

Now I work in the oil industry at a job that (to start) required zero qualifications, yet pays 4x the amount I made as an embalmer/funeral director... and I only work 6 months of the year.

Karma smiled on me because I’m a good boy... despite my inauspicious beginning.

Just finished high school and got accepted for a bachelor in accounting. Hopefully I'll be able to start cheating grannies out of their retirement and if I'm lucky I'll be able to enter the pharmacy industry as a consultant. Wish me luck kiwipedes.

I'm from Britfagistan, so we don't have any of this majors tomfoolery.

Did English and Writing for my degree. I had a place to go to California and study screenwriting, but I decided I didn't really want to move overseas for two plus years and the film business is nigh-on impossible to break into. I didn't fancy waiting tables with no other marketable skills while waiting for my big break, so I went off to retrain as a lawyer instead, which is what I do now. It's actually a total blast.

If you think I missed out on an amazing opportunity by not doing screenwriting, one of my friends at law school had turned down the job of head writer for World of Warcraft with a six figure salary (I shit you not) to study law instead. The super depressing part is that out of my friendship group, he's the only one who hasn't managed to find a job in the legal sector.

Majored in Digital Film & Animation

My job now is IT.

Long story short, my class got the short end of the stick to the point where everyone (including me) dropped out like flies. I tried to escape early by switching to Video Game Design, but according to the school, none of my credits would transfer over to the new course and would have to pay for a new curriculum.

Computer Science and Mathematics. Last semester I started planning on graduate school due to my extremely good grades, but this Winnie the Flu BS made me scrap that idea and go back to just planning on getting a programming job when I graduate next year.

A.A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technician. I work at a small, critical access hospital in the middle of nowhere as a medical laboratory technician (MLT). I often work alone and read kindle books. I package and send out Corona-Chan samples. I do everything except micro.

I have been accepted into a top Medical Laboratory Science BS program online this fall. I will basically do the same thing, but with a big raise, more responsibility, more respect, and better hireability.

BA in History

Applied once for work in intelligence in my shithole country. Just to check and didn't expect much. Few months later got a phone call to come for a meeting on exact day, say this at the gate, come to this floor etc. As cryptic as you can imagine. Never showed up - shat my pants... several times.

Now I work in shitty job in ship construction industry.
