Agreed, I'd say yesterday was a slight loss for Phil. He used to get more in similar situations. I also wouldn't be surprised if the vest era hurts him in the long run. It's not making him much more money, the main difference is that some of the cheers are now tips. At the cost of visibly proving in big lights at the top of the screen that Phil is getting big bucks, more than probably 99% of his chat is earning.

I think the analysis of Phil's income shows that he generally makes the same overall, these large spikes in income just lead to low income periods afterwards as his paypig's wallets recharge.

These people are not normal people. They did not grow up with friends. They are social rejects and wallflowers. Phil is a father figure to them, or a best friend they never had. They deal with his abuse constantly because that’s their normal. As for the money, either a negligent parent who doesn’t care what they use their credit cards for, or a disability check that they’d otherwise just buy tendies with.
