Mildly related but this Oprah video just came up in my recommendations; it's an interview with Truddi Chase from 1990.
The DID language used is a bit outdated but Truddi's behavior is so different to Chloe and Nan - Truddi's in treatment, and I get the impression her 'alters' are more like fragments of herself with specific memories tied to specific events or points in time. They aren't fully developed people with their own jobs (Does Chloe's microbiologist alter bring in the cash?).
Truddi really struggles talking about the memories she can access and the negative impact they have on her life, but is thankful that some memories are locked away from her active consciousness. I haven't done any research on Truddi and can't speak to her authenticity, but her appearance on Oprah is closer to what I would expect someone talking about such a debilitating condition would look like (irregular breathing, ticks/self-stimulating, irregular voice inflections, etc.).
I don't get the impression at all that DID is as fun and colorful as Chloe makes it out to be, yet she still somehow malingers about how life is just so hard and unfair.

God, that forum makes me want to die. I'll see if I can get anything good out of there. Her response is utter bullshit. She got caught out and she's trying not to address it too publicly. Being a victim of sexual abuse does not make you exempt from criticism for sexualising children and exposing your young audience to your fetish inadvertently. She's disgusting.
Did she not say that she drew her brother and friends OCs without their permission? How was that commissioned? It seems like a common pattern for Nan to ignore consent.
What makes you so certain that she doesn't have an attraction to children? She has drawn children in a sexual light. She has drawn children engaging in her kink. I can't imagine a scenario in which I would draw a child engaging in a kink. She has the ability to associate children with kink and so there is some attraction to children in there, or the suggestion would evoke disgust.

Those attention whores could never prioritize their mental health over adoration and validation from strangers on the internet.

Sorry I've been away for awhile I had to deal with some unexpected circumstances and didn't have a stable connection.
Anyway, I will be sending some screenshots to comrade soon to help with the timeline.
Also, I wanted to just say that in University if anyone had to take a break due to mental illness and decides to come back, it is required to provide the university with evidence that you are fit to return to study (a note from the therapist/psychiatrist or whoever is treating you). They may or may not require a diagnosis. They may need evidence of a diagnosis if you require any support from the university. They cannot reject you for a mental illness if you are deemed fit by your therapist. It is still her choice if she would want to return in later years as long as there is enough evidence saying that she is fit enough to study.

I’m peeved by her “very close call” line. I can believe that she maybe downed enough pills to make her feel sick, but I don’t see her as the type to do anything related to a violent suicide attempt.
I find it hard to believe that Chloe wouldn’t be in a psychiatric hospital if it really was that close considering she lives on her own, not countering her alters. I know in Europe you’re generally allowed your phone in psych wards, so sure maybe that explains that, but Idon’t think she wouldn’t mention being in a psych hospital if shewas actually in one. Too many sympathy points she missing out on there.
when I had my closest call suicide attempt with pills, I slept for 16 hours straight and was out of it for an entire week, immediately thrown into a psych ward. Didn’t have time to post on socials about anything. Last time I attempted, was out of it for a week as well, it was about 16 hours before I could even understand anything on my phone. And I sure as hell didn’t publicize my not being well, and I wouldn’t have even if I had that many fans.

Ah, yes, the whole “I aged up the minors for my porn it’s fine!” argument. Hey, uh, Nan... guess what? You were still sexualizing those minors when you decided to “age them up”. You were still looking at an underage character and going, “yanno what? I wanna draw them in a sexual way!“ and since you did age them up, some part of you was aware that you were sexualizing minors but that they needed to be aged up to make it “okay”. Point being: you still looked at an underage character and you still thought of putting them in a sexual situation regardless of age.
Anyways, I got some god damn food to eat before my lunch break is over. Can’t believe I’m wasting it on these two, ugh.

This. And to be clear, we've also stated we do not wish genuine ill on Nin, Nan, or any other system. The goal of this thread is not to drive her away, but to help others avoid being sucked into this. Honestly, my biggest hope is that we help her realize the extent of the damage she has caused in some way. If she came clean and dedicated herself to getting help, I would have a million times more respect for her than I do right now. Sometimes it takes a slap in the face to realize that.
Speaking as a psych student, Factitious Disorders (faking an illness) can be dangerous, life threatening even. A person believing they have this psychiatric illness may try to cut or attempt suicide thinking it's part of the illness. Imagine how family and friends can become alienated as a person believes they were abused or exhibits extremely bizarre behavior. It could cost them their jobs, housing, medical care, etc.
This isn't just online trolling. Pretty sure this forum actually talks about laughing at troll fails. I don't think anyone here has gone out of their way to actually interact with Nin or Nan. If they have, that interaction was not claimed to have resulted from here. I personally disavow anyone who tells people to kill themselves.
I also disavow anyone who uses suicide as a threat or attention ploy.
A lot of the people here have probably been affected by someone who is malingering or know someone who has. All of us have probably seen the effects of it from online incidents unfold. Also, if you guys hadn't, now you do because literally a few pages back someone admitted they dated a fake system. I also have been in contact with many fake systems in my research and personal life and (at the risk of getting TMI-ed) have been abused and manipulated by them too.
So, please consider that before you go off on us. If you're allowed to have your position and trauma from this situation, we're allowed to have ours.

It is incredibly rare for someone who is actually intent on necking themselves to drop subtle hints like that before they do it - it's usually the complete goddamn opposite. This is either a) the classic "cry for help", in which case, she needs to actually get some help for whatever is truly wrong with her (hint: it's not DID) or b) a cry for asspats and an attempt to throw off all criticism and doubters.
I wonder how long it is before the Grandad's Lounge guy starts simping and apologising

Hinting at it runs the risk of someone preventing them from actually doing it. Yes, some suicidal people leave notes, but notes aren't automatic text messages or social media posts. They have to be found first.
Also, the stress she is putting on people with this... I can't imagine the fear her family, friends, fans, and partner had when they saw that post. It's selfish.
