There's a lot of pissed people pointing fingers. This isn't the right time for positioning for the "after" though, especially considering we don't even know when that'll be. Hell, we don't even know if it's entirely safe to go buy toilet paper. I'm glad my government is at least understanding that part. Sometimes it's better to say nothing if you can't say anything substantial. I'm very happy with not having to see Merkel every day on national TV having her read some rallying speeches off some teleprompter in her low-charisma fashion. It'd be pointless and it'd actually worry me more than anything.
Also the posturing here like you run your country is kind of a joke. We're all just some spergs with keyboards here and the deals are made by people who do not consider us beyond some numbers going either up or down, which might indicate saving or destroying our lives. It might make you feel good to think differently but that's the way it always was and always will be, no matter if these numbers are carved in stone or in a fancy computer graph. It would be very poor statemansship to let the EU fall apart over this and beyond national posturing I'm pretty sure everyone who matters understands that part. Politicians pointing fingers angrily and instilling national coherence talk very differently behind closed doors to their peers. (which you don't belong to, their peers are other powerful people in their own and other countries) That's part of running a country and well understood by everyone included. No matter where you live, please don't fall too far for those tricks. It is dangerous and might cloud your judgement regarding those people and their part in all of this.
I still think some people really should take a break from the wuflu news cycle, as it's really not good for a person mentally, especially considering that this will go on for many, many months in some form. Our press is super-trained in reporting things in this alerting 24/7 flashion which is fine for terrorist attacks or plane crashes but I feel quite harmful for something comparably slow and ongoing like a pandemic. I include myself there and think I need to take a break from online social platforms regarding this topic for a week or so. Now I just need to find a way to stop friends constantly linking me stuff. I know it'll fall on deaf ears here but for your own mental health, maybe consider just updating on the news once a day or so and try to fill your time if you can with other, more productive stuff. You're most likely in no position to change anything and you don't do yourself any favors.
