OK, I know Fauci knows what he's talking about medically, but......seriously?

Great, how will I know if the other guy has a sword in his hand now?

I expect something really creepy and out of left field to happen on Easter this year. It wouldn't be Jebus coming back.

It will be Jesus, the gardener coming back to work. Allowed to leave his apartment and leafblow for cash, free from ICE interference. He truly is Risen.

My bets on the plague of frogs.

ISIS is obviously jealous of all the attention being directed at China and have described coronavirus as 'a soldier of Allah' even though I bet in a month's time it will have burned itself out in the US and Europe but the death toll in the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan will be going through the roof,

He kinda sorta clarified that this morning on that bastion of intellectual programming, The Today Show. He said he was half joking about it, then blah blah blah virus blah blah blah more virus blah blah blah...

This guy needs to stop giving interviews. If he's not purposefully throwing out ridiculous sound bites for the media to blow out of proportion, then he's an idiot. Either way he needs to stay in his immunological lane.

Yes, let's never express gestures of good will to each other ever again. We should never have large gatherings or parties ever again, either. And FUCK IT, let's never visit our extended families (especially the elderly ones) ever again! Let's just close down every restaurant, too. And let's ban vacations and travel in general! Oh, you want to see your favorite band live at some point? Too bad-- no more concerts! Doing all of these things will be sure to decrease the spread of the regular flu, too!

No more fun, no more jobs, no more church, and no more human contact. EVER. It's for our own good, really.

This is exactly why we have the POTUS speak in these press conferences. If these medical experts had it their way, we'd already be under martial law, based on the language they continue to use. Jesus H. Christ.

From the lolcow County that is Derbyshire, I bring you.....

An arsehole showing COVID-19 symptoms biting, coughing punching and spitting on staff. What's funny is they spelt his name differently but I suspect it's this dude. Right age, same name but spelt very slightly differently so not totally sure. (But local press is notorious for not spell checking these days).

EDIT: Oh, and the Times has released some polling. Makes for some interesting reading.

Govt popularity up. The UK as a whole, UK people up and up.

CHYNA hahahahahahaah

Also the media lobby, incessently pretending business as usual and asking the same question 35 times to try and gotcha people who seem to know how to now handle them. MY SIDES. They're almost as unpopular as the PRC!

Perfect in theory never matches reality.

The WHO keeps sucking spain's cock and it's probably more worrying than the fucking virus itself. Thankfully the comment section of the video, while being a toxic cesspit (as youtube comments always go) is filled with people criticizing the government for their mishandling of the crisis and the WHO over Taiwan. There's even some people that just keep spamming "ASK THEM ABOUT TAIWAN" on every spanish WHO video and I love it.

Honestly, it's funny. Despite how critical I've been of our government. I'd say compared with most they've been at least not as bad as many, many others. Sweeden I'm looking at you. France... Just wow. But I'd say spaniards are the most keenly aware and unforgiving towards our own fuckups, by a lot. I keep telling ya self-hatred is in our god damned genes.

So ... Thinking about the possible "reactivation" of the virus ...

I know that some people are jumping to the worst possible scenario: linking this to HIV (I've seen a lot of people do it on other forums already; there's a lot of panic with this news from South Korea). Well, let's just say for a minute that it is the worst case scenario, and this virus is actually an airborne version of HIV. If that's the case, then I think we all can easily say that this virus was man made as a weapon. If this thing is stuck with you forever, and lays dormant until you get sick with something else, then isn't that just too perfect? Of course it would be a weapon if that's truly the case. HIV isn't an airborne disease; in order for it to be so, then there has to be something man-made/manufactured about it.

However, there are a lot of viruses that lay dormant for a while until it's completely gone from your system. Other types of Coronaviruses, even ... Including the common cold. There's also the chickenpox: if you've had them, the virus can still be dormant in your body and come back multiple years later in the form of the shingles virus (this doesn't happen to most people who get the chickenpox though-- keep that in mind). If that's the case for COVID-19, then that's terrible news (especially because that means we are definitely going to be dealing with this bullshit for a long time before it's finally behind us). It would sound much less like a bioweapon than an airborne version of HIV would, at the very least.

South Korea hasn't proven that the reactivation is real just yet, though. They're testing it right now. Right now, it's looking more like the testing for COVID-19 being a lot more fallible than previously thought. There's always the chance that this fucking thing becomes dormant and re-emerges though, as that isn't an uncommon thing with viruses.

I think that if this thing were truly linked to something like HIV, though, then one would think that doctors would be determining these tests through bloodwork instead of cotton swabbing, right?

Its the Ugly friend situation we are looking at. the WHO wants to go out with Spain to look better in contrast.

Hah! Well they should know better. We're HORRIBLE wingmen. We make too many bad jokes. Like thinking joining the EU was ever a good idea!

It feels so fucking weird not being their preferred target for once.

Sorry if this is the wrong place. It's Salon so I'm doubting they are being completely truthful.

From the CDC page:

Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are oral prescription drugs that have been used for treatment of malaria and certain inflammatory conditions. Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are under investigation in clinical trials for pre-exposure or post-exposure prophylaxis of SARS-CoV-2 infection, and treatment of patients with mild, moderate, and severe COVID-19. More information on clinical trials can be found at ClinicalTrials.govexternal icon. FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to authorize use of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquineexternal icon from the Strategic National Stockpile for treatment of hospitalized adults and adolescents (weight ≥50 kg) with COVID-19 for whom a clinical trial is not available or participation is not feasible.

Sounds to me like the change is mere technicality.

General mood is EU is already dead. I tried to not say everything to not let my perception color what other's said while checking the pulse but I must admit my friends know I've always been anti-EU.
We have enough on our plate that we need to take care of ourselves to just hand out big wads of cash without any accountability attached to them.

No one should be defending the EU or looking at the EU for salvation during this pandemic. EU bureaucrats only know how to do one thing well, and even in the midst of a global pandemic they are busy doing what they do best: "Corona-bonds, a joint borrowing instrument", ie pushing for the creation of more debt:

Also, a reality check with regards to the medical system in Germany:

In other news, Dr. Seheult for MedCram went into the Ivermectin research in his new video

I had already seen another new item about this research a couple of days ago, so I am including that earlier video below. I am unsure about using an anti-parasitic on a body under extreme duress but we'll see when and if there is a human trial.

research from Australia on using the anti-parasitic Ivermectin in vitro:

Link to the research itself:

Caly, Leon; Druce, Julian D.; Catton, Mike G.; Jans, David A.; Wagstaff, Kylie M. (April 2020). "The FDA-approved Drug Ivermectin inhibits the replication of SARS-CoV-2 in vitro". Antiviral Research: 104787.

More videos I thought might be of interest:

Bodybags in the streets of Ecuador with citizens getting fed up, taking matters into their own hands and now digging their own graves:

This Madrid ice scating rink has become a city morgue:

I always try to include a more lighthearted video, so check out these old ladies isolating together:

Pastor sets up mini-pantry giving away food (can't Christians just do this instead of trying to go to mass to express their Christianity?)

I'm not buying it. More likely the qRT-PCR test is just being shitty, either throwing out false positives or false negatives.

Hey Idiot, most Cures Talked about right now are Anti-parasitic medication.
Plasmodium Vivax and the rest of the Malaria Gang are also Parasites-

The problem with that comment is, that Germany and the Netherlands (I guess amongst others) are blocking Eurobonds, even in the limited version of so-called Corona-Bonds.
