"We've literally built our careers around mocking the personal lives of others, but now that it's happening to us, and our fanbases we cultivated are turning on us, it's wrong and pathetic!"

It always happens, like fucking clockwork.

1. Person gets popular off of making fun of others.
2. The worst, most vocal parts of their fanbase start attacking whoever they make fun of.
3. Instead of manning up and calling out the people taking it too far, they instead just try to focus on a nebulous definition of “acceptable targets”, setting a near-impossible popularity standard for who they target going forward.
4. When that inevitably doesn’t work, they shift their content to an entirely different style of videos in an attempt to keep their audience.
5. After years of this, they fall deeper and deeper into their new, “nicer” persona and do something indistinguishable from the content that they would no doubt have made fun of years ago.
6. Their older fanbase mercilessly turns on them as they try to justify whatever they did.

iDubbbz’ simping turned out to be the catalyst for a lot of creators to jump right to the fifth step.

But Ethan isn't nice. He can't even claim to "be nice." His content is still the same garbage, only delivered through a worse method (instead of the self-aware rétard that wasn't afraid of making fun of himself, we have the same rétard trying to act smart and claim "he was only pretending" and just talks in circles)

Ethan, the voices in your head aren't schizophrenia, they're the ghost of your ancestors hating the circus act that is your existence and that haunt you for bringing jews shame. Making shit up about Keem won't make them stop.

So Ethan and hila wanted to set Trisha up with a dude for the memes and "goofs" but didn't expect the jokes to be on them when she ended up fucking Hila"s brother? Damn, Ethan bad moves, stop it, tired of you.

Paul Joseph Watson with the soy-made Brain Force pills vs. Ethan’s FUPA with the big brain takes

Which would you pick?

PJW is a dumbfuck that can and will run into a brick wall until it finally breaks. Ethan’s ego is so massive and fragile that he stands no chance. It’ll get even worse every time Ethan tries to clap back. PJW doesn’t care. He’ll keep repeating himself until Ethan concedes, which makes Ethan look infinitely worse.

Ethan himself is admittedly an interesting case, as instead of doubling down or going the “nicer” route, he ran off to a second channel(Ethan and Hila) in order to do exactly what he was doing before, just with a smaller, more manageable audience. And when that channel got popular... he started podcasting instead.

However, it had a similar effect: With a smaller, more dedicated audience of the remaining main channel fans who had followed him through both a second and now a third channel, he could start saying dumber and dumber shit to an audience of thousands far, far less likely to call him out(though some certainly still did) than the million or so that he cultivated on his main channel, leading to the same situation of him saying shit that past-him would have roasted.

That's always been the part that annoyed me, their content was a lot better on E&H, and then they ether got burnt out or tired of doing it, and then just stopped, without any warning. And then Ethan came out with his stupid game and tried to blame lack of production on hoog depresshun and fear of further retaliation (I.E another Matt Hoss)

So you're saying he was exiled from 3 fanbases and now he's wondering why people dislike him? Seems very... Familiar...

Not quite. Think of him more like a cult leader who disappears every few years to restart the same damn shit under a different name. It’s just that his third attempt was small and “comfortable” enough for him to start spouting off his stranger opinions without fear of too much backlash.
