Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

ISWV has always been as bad as KV. It took me some time to figure that out but it’s the truth. I don’t know Vic but from what I’ve seen of him he seems like a genuinely good guy. In no way does he deserve what happened. All of their affidavits are trash. One of their big talking points is taking an interaction with a young girl cosplaying and lying about it. They use an absolutely despicable person like Doucette as their mouth piece. MoRons attorney is just plain evil. But these are all the actions of the defendants not KV as a whole. Yeah KV is a trash fire, so is ISWV. What’s happening now is the curtain is being pulled back and the truth is being revealed. There are a whole lot of cash grabbers and dopamine seekers who do not genuinely care about Vic.

The difference between ISWV and KV is largely just 'do they falsely accuse or implicitly agree with the false accusations of Vic or do they not', and that's always been the case. Any other differences quoted are mostly just one side wanking about how they're better than the other side while not actually being any different.

Which, IMO, does make it surprising how many more KV creepers and weirdos there are than ISWV. There isn't any particular reason why your opinion on fake metoo stuff should impact how much of a freak or how criminal you are, and yet...

Were I to give the likes of Otaku and Fantasy Soft (and all the assorted cosplayers-cum-wanna be voice actors) the most charitable interpretation of all this nonsense, I would say that they are creatives and dreamers who are green behind the ears, have no clue how the industry works, and are just dreaming of that chance to make it big, and in doing so fumble about and make rookie mistakes.

Were I to look at it with a more jaded eye, I see a bunch of pretenders, who don't know the years of hard work, networking, and determination that it takes to turn dreams into reality. They don't realize that for every success, there are one hundred failures.
An even less charitable view is that they are talent-less hacks and charlatans, who see the amount of money fans are willing to spend to support their projects, and are just hopping on the notoriety of the current situation to line their pockets.
To think that someone with zero experience in the industry would have the absolute gall to use the name of a veteran performer/director to boost their projects and in doing so, miss their chance to actually learn something from someone who could teach classes on directing/producing/acting , is the definition of hubris.

Star Trek and Star Wars are his geek of choice. He doesn't own a Vidya system and I'd be surprised if he's ever DnD'd.

We've talked about Twitch as a a backup for Unlocked should the need arise, but the boomer is strong with this one

If he can do web design and things like that I have no doubt he can learn how to stream. 😊

I'm willing to believe most are just inexperienced and jumping at an opportunity they're not yet ready for. It's not exactly uncommon for an amateur to jump at an opportunity to get their hands on professional stuff, only to waste it or burn out because they weren't ready to use that effectively and just blew all the money/connections they had. It happens in everything that has a 'professional level'.

That said...well, they opened themselves up for all the negative responses and fiery crashes that come with very publicly biting off more than they can chew, so...I don't really feel all that bad for them, either. If you're trying to get involved in the professional sphere then either know what you're doing or prepare to humiliate yourself and fail. No reason not to get back up and try again on a more amateur sphere if that happens, though. It's just not a super great position to be in if the way you fail is 'trying to work with professional people and burning your bridges with those people by failing'.

You could do a Venn diagram of all of the ISWV identities, out Vic & Nick on either side of the middle orbs and then go from there.

We can all acknowledge that if Nick hadn’t got involved, then the GFM would not have gone anywhere near the levels it has. Nick has the ability to unify the masses. But Nick is also the reason why the defendants have hit defcon sperg.

Without the insanity that the GFM reached, there is no way that orbiters such as TUG, HH, YF would have continued, especially in those early months.

Then there are all the clingers on. People who built an audience or following due to all of the weeb wars shit. Whether it be Shane, Dom Skye, Sushi, FS, T Greg, they all latched onto this controversy and Are trying to milk it for their own gains.

KV & ISWV are two sides of the same retarded coin.

I'd argue that it's as bad as KickVic, yes, but the curtain isn't being pulled back on it now, but rather is just continuing to be pulled back. People have been archiving and criticising the bullshit of people like TUG and Sen since this really all started to pick up. Both KV and ISWV have a select few dramamongers running around on their respective sides, and the Farms has been very happy to call out bullshit when it sees it no matter who it is. It's why we have a thread dedicated to TUG's bullshit as well as The Manjawian Candidate and Doucette, and why the Doxedex continues to be updated with people, not just KV individuals. I think the real problem for most of us here is that while the idiocy on the KV side is aimed at Vic, the idiocy on the ISWV side is aimed at other members of ISWV all in the hopes that the dramamongering faggots like TUG, Sen, and Sushii can climb the social ladder. For some like Sen it's their only hope at relevancy.

Already said this before, but you're calling ISWV as a whole what is actually just a small part of ISWV.
The talkative ones on Youtube or anywhere else aren't the whole movement. There are almost 6000 donors on the GFM, and, even considering some people probably donated multiple times, you can't consider the few idiots looking after ass pats to be representative of the way more massive amount of people who support Vic without expecting any kind of aknowledgement or retribution. Most of ISWV is actually silent.

Meanwhile, on KV side, We've yet to see anything but turbo speds that sperg non stop about Vic on Twitter...

@TheRealCasualOtaku I was the one who posted your tweets on here originally. Sorry if it caused you stress, but at the same time I think the tweets were worded badly and your reasoning was unclear, so I'm glad you deleted the tweets and tried to clear things up here. You do seem genuine to me, although I still can't 100 % get behind your reasons not to involve Vic in your project anymore. But I don't think you are anti Vic. As far as I know, you were one of the very first few people to stand up for Vic. Still remember your panel with Nick and your Marzgurl videos.

All the best for your future projects. I hope you'll maybe rethink your decision about Vic and maybe think more about how to word things on the internet. Nobody's perfect. At least you are (supposedly) working on something, contrary to fantasy soft.

Emosh got a replay from Dom about Sushi.

Sushi having a meltdown on her discord.

Wait, something isn't right there. That's not Dom's twitter account.
Just checked her actual account, and it has been suspended. When? Why? Did I miss something? What did she do?

Probably another Flaggots of Letters mass flagging campaign. They stump and defend Maria's bullshit on Twitter and actively report accounts that make her diabeetus and herpes flare up.

All is good.

While Dom is still on the KV side, some things apparently seem silly in her mind in retrospect (COVID)

Hence her and Emosh talking and Sushi having a panicking Twitter meltdown
