PS - No offense to Lovejoy and his (potential) sister. I just don't like to take up the ol' torch and pitchfork without some solid ground to stand on.
Even if Lovejoy was lying, this is somewhat of an experiment to see what Enter thinks if his opinions influence his fans. Right now he seems as though it's not his fault if it's his opinion + other factors.
[10:58:13 PM] Yang: But the point is, if you had anything to do with it, doesn't it feel bad like at all? I mean you possibly had something to do with it.
[10:59:43 PM] Johnathan Enter: If I felt like I gave bad advice, which I don't think so. This is why I don't like to talk to people about college at all. They get peeved when I tell them reasons for not going, even though people have had their lives legitimately ruined by going to college when they shouldn't have.
[11:00:07 PM] Yang: So you think that was good advice?
[11:00:47 PM] Johnathan Enter: Running away from your family? No, and I never implied that you should have done that. Actually consider going to college as a choice that not everyone should do, yes.
[11:02:06 PM] Yang: They didn't run away, I don't know where you got that. The sister of the user got kicked out of school. You're influence based on her being a fan of yours might've caused her to just not give a shit. Don't you feel bad about that?
[11:03:15 PM] Johnathan Enter: I'd need to know why she was there in the first place. She could have gotten kicked out of school because she thought it was fun to make smoke bombs in chemistry for all I know. You've come up with a cause and an effect, but you haven't exactly linked the two in any form
[11:04:49 PM] Yang: User says that she just gave up at school. You do know failing grades can get you kicked out, right? You essentially said that there was no point to school for people, so if they take your advice + other factors, you can be partially to blame.
[11:05:58 PM] Johnathan Enter: I did not essentially say that. I said that it was a choice to go to college and sometimes the answer is no.
[11:08:30 PM] Yang: People go to high school for a diploma to get them into college. If college is taken as useless, then there's no point to school
[11:10:34 PM] Johnathan Enter: Sometimes the answer is yes though, and I can't make that decision for anyone (literally. Not figuratively). Beyond college, there's freelance work, starting a business, training.
[11:11:37 PM] Yang: It's still good to have a college education though. You can't live on freelance work you're entire life.
Here's some interesting stuff.
