Couldn't find this info in the thread. Shortages in key meds used for patients that are ventilated announced by the FDA. (i.e. Dexmedetomidine, Etomidate, Midazolam, Propofol, Cisatracurium)

Details can be found here under the new and updated tab:

(archive doesn't work on the main hub of the FDA Drug Shortage website for some odd reason, as in tabs don't work. here it is anyway: http://archive.li/WkbIF)

A select few companies DO supply the drugs fine, at least according to the FDA, but I can only think of the price gouging.

Not having the anti-anxiety and dissociative drugs available could be a real problem. I can't imagine what it would be like to have all your faculties while a tube is stuck all the way down your throat into your lungs and is in full control of your own breathing. Probably hurts like a bitch too.

Taiwan was telling this to everyone who would listen at the end of December.

In actual news the first sailor from the Teddy Roosevelt has reportedly died of "complications related to COVID-19".

Doctors have described the process of intubation without sedatives and muscle relaxants as "traumatic", at least the ones that have told me.

You know what a gag reflex is? Well imagine having your subconscious perpetually ready to clamp your entire respiratory system right the fuck up around the giant artificial cock that's now covering your esophagus and pumping air straight into your lungs like you're some kind of meat puppet as your gag reflex tells the muscles in your entire torso that they NEED to convulse to expel that shit. For multiple days straight with no rest. Yeah, yeah not having drugs to keep that shit under control is definitely traumatic.

This is legit making me MATI. China covered this shit up until it spread, denounced Trump for banning travel from China to the US as xenophobic and the Western media backed them up on that. Then they lied about the number of cases they had and claimed almost no new cases and the Western media didn't question that. Now they're still lying about the numbers of new cases but have increased their official numbers a bit but claiming the majority are imported. They're obviously going to use that as an excuse to persecute foreigners inside the country and once again the Western media is going give 'em a pass, even though that same media is all too keen to denounce Western leaders for 'racism' over much less clearcut cases than this.

Laowhy86, the guy that made the I found the source of the coronavirus video said in that video that he feared some sort of anti-foreigner movement in China and he'd make a video about it later. I hope he does. I also hope he's not in China because things could get very nasty indeed.

And remember when stuff like this gets posted in China, it's just not some teenage edgelord with an anime avatar who's about to get another sockpuppet account nuked. The social media company they posted it on and the government have decided to let this stay up. In a sense, it's a CCP approved sentiment. And in this case, it seems like the CCP is going to pivot toward blaming foreigners for the majority of new cases and let the mob vent its frustrations on them. The CCP has form in this area. In 2012 they allowed anti-Japan protests to turn violent until those protests included people criticizing the Chinese government too. At which point they were stopped.

Even if foreigners end up getting Kristallnacted in China, I predict there will be little media outcry.

It's a shame this isn't happening in the US or UK really. Maybe if it was the media would give a shit about it.

how are the gypsies taking this anyway?

Dunno on other countries but in spain their drug supply's gotten almost cut on 2 fronts (morocco and stealing from hospitals), their money supply has been cut on all fronts (turists, mercadillos and black market deals), the cops have had way more resources than usual to curbstomp them since the emergency personnel got called and their territorial gang wars have gotten violent to the point of gunfire which they soon have found out is a really bad idea on account of atracting response from army jeeps with a considerable amount of superior firepower which has yet to be used as it seems they at least haven't so far been willing to try their luck against that shit), and their usual stunts have gotten a lot more attention than usual and a lot more hatred, practically destroying their "muh racism, gypsies are people too" campaign. So basically, they're fucked.

I really like these movements to end the lockdown, they see a drop in the numbers and say ok its safe to go out. First the numbers are shaping up well BECAUSE of the lockdown and second I am very certain governments do want to lift the lockdown ASAP but first at minimum want to have masks in stock for the public so its like a South Korea situation. People are getting antsy and it has only been a month. Also if muh US government was trying to steal your liberty why the fuck would they have allowed record number of gun and ammunition sales happen when the lockdown was announced seems counter intuitive to me and makes little sense, wouldn't want to give someone a gun before I piss them off.

Personally I'm at the point to say fuck it and let the people that want to go back to the status quo back out, I'll be watching nature hand out darwin awards from the comfort of my home. On a further note these are the kind of people that need to be burned by it for it to sink in for them like a family member or close friend dying of it let them learn the hard way.

A friend passed onto me the website Greggs (Archive) is using to communicate with staff, there's not much info on there but it might give some insight into how at least one company is handling the semi-lockdown in the UK. I'm not sure how comparative it is to other bussinesses.

Cliff notes:

All employees not in management will receive full pay till at least July 1st.
Management and directors are at 80% pay till stores reopen.
Planning for when the stores reopen with social distancing.
Only production happening is for the Greggs range for Iceland.
Will not be paying out dividends to shareholders.

Up to 70% of patients in intensive care suffer from physical and mental health problems such as fatigue and anxiety a YEAR after they are released from hospital, study finds
  • Seven in ten intensive care survivors end up with 'post intensive care syndrome'
  • The findings are the first to come from a five-year study in the Netherlands
  • It did not involve COVID-19 patients, but will likely apply to them, scientists claim
  • The coronavirus can leave patients fighting for their life for up to three weeks

You know, I actually saw someone (a journalist or "expert" I forget which) say this week that having a Chinese style dictatorship with restricted liberties would be a good thing in fighting "the virus", but "sadly" we have don't have a system like that, we have freedoms and liberties to take into account.

It was legit creepy to read.
Bro, sometimes I wanna round these type of people up and send them to chy-na. good riddance doofuses.
