Seriously, what is it about this dude and making people go autistically apeshit over him? Enter's pretty tame as far as lolcows go.
I think it’s because he’s super autistic, but he’s comprehensible, so other autists feel a connection to him. But since they’re still autistic, they have trouble not sperging out eventually

Look at that beautiful art! Who wouldn't give this project $350,000 on Indiegogo?
Speaking of $350K, I don't know much about animation or how much it costs, but thought I'd go look up some other crowdfunded animations and see how much they asked for...

(roughly equates to $67,270 of a $50,492 goal)

(I was gonna put Hazbin on here to but I couldn't find what Viv's Patreon goals were)
Wow.

Wow.
We’ve already discussed budget, he’s going for a hand drawn project, probably using Bee and Puppy Cat as a standard since it asked for $100,000 per 6 minute episode.
I mean, who doesn’t compare themselves to the most successful kickstarter project in your niche?

He reviews children's cartoons and the cartoon community is probably the most autistic fandom of any medium out there. Since for every 3-5 Movie/Book/Game/Anime/Music sperg, there are probably twice as many cartoon spergs.

I’d say the cartoon community is between anime and music for the level of spergs, but the lack of social acceptance makes them extra spergy

Arguably, until he really got into this project of his, I would have classified him as more of an A-Log magnet than a cow in his own right, but this entire saga has peeled back the layers of his psyche and let loose the cow he was always thought of as. Before, he was just a mediocre cartoon reviewing Doug Walker impressionist, but how, hoo boy, he's a full on weirdo sex pervert obsessive over kids and creator of a fictional dystopia to rival CWCville.

He's like DSP in that the only people who were unironic fans of his were autistic, literal children, mentally retarded, or some hellish combination of the three. When fans become former fans, and they have one or more of the problems I mentioned, they become ridiculous a-logs instead of just leaving quietly; you don't stop being autistic just because you stop liking this guy, after all. And as we have seen, Mr. Enter is a dick to his fans. Stuff like declaring jihad on that SpongeBob guy didn't help. The budding creepy overtones and general low quality of his magnum opus aren't helping either. He just keeps shedding fans constantly. And thus the Enter hatedom keeps growing. It's reached the point that if he ever needs to file for bankruptcy, I expect some autist to impersonate one or more of his creditors, just like DSP. It's only a matter of time before some idiot SWATs him, just like DSP.

Wow.

From what I know about the cost of animation, I doubt any of those crowdfunders asked for the full cost of their cartoon; just a large enough fraction where it would be feasible to pay the rest out of pocket. For a truly passionate producer, it's the difference between "I'll make this cartoon in my limited spare time, even if it takes years," and "I'm quitting my old job so I can get this done infinitely faster." Mr. Enter, never having a job and lacking any interest in developing his skills, only saw crowdfunding as a harmless game of "Throw money at the problem until it goes away." Hence fan donations being 100% of the budget.

I’m sorry but even the fucking name of the show is horrible. ‘Growing Around’ What the hell does that even mean? You’re going around, but like learning I guess? That must be what he’s going for, but that’s the kind of thing you name a edutainment kindergarten show, not whatever this unholy mash of random themes this thing is.

Growing Around indeed, even just saying it makes me feel like I’m losing brain cells, I wish Enter did a little fucking growing around while he kicked this can uphill for the past six years, maybe then he’d figure out not to make little boys crossdress in every script or how to edit a video without needing a vorefag troon weeb to do it for you.

I thought it was supposed to be a play on the phrase "Kidding around", but the synopsis of his book says that the title refers to how the people in the world are all "growing around". I doubt this is what he's intending, but it sounds like it's referencing how in this world you grow up and then need to be systematically broken and oppressed until you've reverted to a childlike state, thus meaning you have come full circle and have "grown around".

I think my favorite part of this series is that when you get down to it, Shane, the Big Villain, is just some dude who wants equal rights.

I'm sorry, but who the fuck is Lucas? Cecelia too, for that matter. I know Shane and Talula, but who the hell are the other two? Have they ever appeared? I will admit I don't read his scripts, but I feel like something as important as series antagonists would have been mentioned in the thread at some point.

Juwt lurk a little more, is all I have to say from here. The way I see it, the more you read into Growing Around, the less fucking tame he unfortunately becomes. Plus, he sucks royal ass at the whole critic thing, so that's bonus points against him, really - he's kinda like The Irate Gamer of what he chooses to focus on, in the grand scheme of things, made worse by something he can't really get off the ground the way it is right now.

I don't think this would be so frustrating if he knew anything, let alone how to do anything when it comes to making an actual cartoon worth seeing, honestly.

Lucas is a character in the boyband Sally likes. Cecelia is, well, there's no delicate way to put this; she's an Adult Baby.

You'd think that infantilizing yourself would be the way to please your oppressors in this world, but she's still bad because she isn't up on the latest trends, and because she won't grow up. In a world that penalizes you for doing exactly that.

Ah, that makes more sense.
Still, the fact that Enter thought anyone would give him that amount of money to make his shitty dA fanfics a cartoon is laughable.

I seriously didn't know Cecelia was an antagonist prior to reading this. I thought she was what kids would love in adults, aside from, you know, having rights.

Also, "She is childless and so she doesn't have any reference for how actual children think and behave." Was she not a child before? And even if she had a focus for order, she was the mayor. She had to have observed other kids doing stuff. Plus, besides her using outdated things, she's just like most of the kid characters we know.

This is the only remote description I could find of Lucas:

From what I understand based on another character's description, he has a prejudice against all adults.

Huh, I never realized this chick was supposed to be a villain. Not like the reason she's a villain makes any sense, anyway. She likes outdated things, and that's... Bad? The way he describes her sounds more like an obnoxious comic relief than one of the four main villains.

I meant to say "tame". Excuse the fucking typo.

Ah yes, Entard's equivalent of a nostalgia whore. How wonderful. Well, not really, thanks to the infantility fetish being built-in to her already non-existant character as bonus points.
