Just wanted to pop in and let people know whats going on with Call Screening, as i'm the guy who proposed it to Ralph and the other hosts, and I want to clarify exactly what i'm doing and why. The pitch I gave to them was essentially this:
As someone who has listened to the show since 2018, with a break when things got really bad during the Pillstream 1.0 era, I have noticed that the biggest speedbump in the shows flow has always been caller technical issues. Without anyone to sound check callers before they are pulled into on-air, you get things like dead mics, muted mics, delays that you cant account for, unprepared callers who are distracted, ETC. The idea behind the call screening I put in place was to have a producer as a go-between of callers and the hosts, much like oldschool radio shows like Howard Stern and Opie & Anthony had, that would just make sure the callers are prepped and ready to talk to the hosts.
The format i'm doing goes like this:
1. Pull caller in from the greenroom
2. Have them give me a mic check
3. Help them adjust levels, get headphones plugged in, tell them their is a bot in the Ready Room so they can listen that way instead of using a stream
4. Ask them some basic questions, like have you called in before, what topic do you want to talk about
5. I fill out a note for Ralph so he sees caller mic quality, topic, caller name and what kind of caller they are, I.E. Returning Caller, New Caller, Gold Star Regular Caller, or Gold Star Guest (Someone like Warski or AugieRFC)
6. I tell them if they need to walk away from their mics, to put themselves back in the greenroom and that ill re-process them when they are back and ready, so they arent absent when they get pulled in
7. Throw them in the ready room and post the notes to a chat that Ralph and the other hosts can see
I'm not looking to censor callers or keep people off-air, and only in very rare situations where its like a known troll who's only goal is to scream nigga or faggot will I not let someone on air. If someone wants to be critical of Ralph or troll him in a way that's not trying to get him kicked off platforms, they will be let through with no issues. Now if Ralph himself wants to bar anyone from calling in, that's on his end, but so far in the last two nights since we started this new call-in format, every caller i've processed has been put into the Ready Room and dragged on at some point in the show, except for when they themselves disconnect before being pulled on.
One example of that is CECA Loather, the Mongolian CCP shill with the $1 mic that screams in Mandarin about how the US is the cause of Coronavirus. Now I fucking hate CECA and think hes a low-IQ nigga, but I'm still totally willing to process him and let him on the show. The issue is that a few moths ago, I called him out on air and called him a worthless exceptional individual gorilla nigga, and he blocked me like a pussy after that. On Monday, he jumped in the greenroom, and I tried to process him 4 separate times. Each time, I started asking him for a mic check, and within 3 seconds of hearing my voice he disconnected. I will let the gorillanigger on if he wants on, but he is apparently either too much of a pussy to even speak to me, or hes too stupid to comprehend the concept of call screening and was disconnecting out of fear, like a scared animal that you shine a bright light at and he scatters into the Forrest.
If anyone has any questions about Call Screening ill be as transparent as I possibly can be on it all. I want it to be very clear that this isn't something that Ralph is doing to GuntGuard, it was entirely my idea, and I wanted to do it to improve the quality of the streams overall, because I genuinely believe that the show has been on an upward-trajectory quality wise in the last few months, outside of the speedbump that the Drunken Peasants Incident/PillStream 2.0 looked as if it was going to create.
Also, I do it for free, so send me your hot pockets and juice please i'm starving over here.
