There we have it. Chris has finally proven to us that he (or at least the abomination he thinks inhabits him currently) is indeed a literal geinus. He knows that he's going to be broken homeless soon, so he's storing all that precious fat in his body for a rainy day. He wants to minimize his energy consumption every day so he doesn't even go to the bathroom, it's easier for him to crap himself and let Barb deal with it. He's also fattening his animals nicely so they can't run away from him when he finally needs to eat them and use their fur for clothing because clothes cost money that could be used for crystals and toys. Truly an inspiration to us all.

IIRC Gump in the original novel was kind of a jerk and borderline racist; his only good deeds were unintentional much like how he bumbled his way through history absentmindedly.
