Horrorcow Farrah F'n Flawless / Pauly Unstoppable / Paul Richard Mowery II / Thelizardqueen - The Queen of Bodymods

He deleted his IG account again.

Whatever the case, Pauly seems to be accelerating to self-destruction rather fast. Between the vaginoplasties and face tattoo removal sessions (which for financial reasons he seems to have completely abandoned even before COVID) Pauly is losing it even more mentally, while his organs fail one by one thanks to his poor life choices.

Farrah says it's because of an auto immune condition that causes vision loss and not the tattoo. Not sure if true.

He was one of the prototypes for the eyeball tattooing. I wouldn't be surprised if that particular method is now considered a failure. Plus I'm not surprised that bits and pieces of him are going to shit since he has to maintain an open wound at all times.

The method used back then was the same as the one used now. It works fine if you go to an extremely skilled artist, but sadly there's no formal training for this kind of thing, so any two-bit piercer/scalpel-jockey can just start doing it in a lot of countries. Still, you'd have to be genuinely indifferent toward your own body and the possibility of painful death, to volunteer yourself as one of the first people to try it. Seems to me like something that should have been kept as a neat concept but never actually done, like some of the other body mods dreamed up by weird dudes who like needles.

Not-very-fun fact: two of the original three died (from issues unrelated to eye tattooing) so Pauly is now the only one left.

i'm almost positive it's considered a failure. i haven't seen anybody get their eyes tattooed since that time period.
A ton of people have gotten it done since then, and there’s been a few true horror stories in the news of people going blind because the person doing the procedure didn’t actually know how. It’s about the time I’d expect long term problems to start showing up though, so I’m not surprised Farrah is having eye problems. If nothing else, I would think the presence of the ink would increase pressure on the eye, but idk what the actual negative effects will be.

I'm pretty sure I've asked this in this thread somewhere but are there any examples of eyeball tattoos that don't look terrible?

yeah a few here and there, tends to be people who pick lighter colors.

I'm just pumped for the biopsy of his tattooed eye to get into a medical journal somewhere so we can read about exactly what injecting dye into the sclera does to the human body.

I'm pretty sure they're going to pickle his entire body in a big jar and study it for years to come. In part to answer the question "How has he not died yet?"

Here's an article with a section reviewing articles on the complications with eye tattoos.

Essentially, inflammation and scarring can occur and is brought down with treatments. Theres a nice picture in that article too. The loss of vision occurs when the pigment enters the globe due to increased pressure.

So no, Pauly, it ain't an autoimmune disorder. Your body is probably just sick of compensating for the ink you shoved into your eyeball.
