Stephie's Dad looks like a faggot in the comic. More than usual, anyway.
Pax Ahimsa Gethen has her own thread , but it hasn't been updated much.
Wait a second
Very few people in any of those professions make the minimum wage. Nursing and bus driving in particular are legit middle class careers. Labelle is so sheltered it's unbelievable.
If you're already transgender, why not be transage as well?Wait a second
What does she mean by "still in school "
Is this an awkward way of saying she was still a teacher
Or is Sophie claiming to be younger than 24?

Probably TMI, but I am ‘essential’ and my father is a nurse. Let me tell you, there is a very large gap in both skill and pay.Very few people in any of those professions make the minimum wage. I getv that Sophie is a tard but are you bootlickers really gonna argue that nurses don't deserve better pay in this situation lmao
What Labelle doesn't understand, though, is that there's a significant difference between "low wage" and "minimum wage." Minimum wage is $7.25/hr in the US and $11.06/hr CAD ( ≈ $7.88 USD) in Canada. In the U.S., 2.3 percent of hourly workers were paid the minimum wage in 2017. There is no way you can stretch the statement "most 'essential workers' are at the minimum wage" to make it correct. Of the professions Labelle specifically mentions, entry level grocery workers in the US make almost $3/hour more than minimum, entry level delivery drivers make almost $5/hour more than minimum including tips, bus drivers start at twice minimum, and nurses start at three times minimum.Probably TMI, but I am ‘essential’ and my father is a nurse. And that’s how it should be. I do retail and he makes sure people don’t die.
Labelle seems to be the type of person who thinks all skills are equal and useful, when that’s just not the case.

You can say that a lot of these jobs still don't pay squat, especially in light of the risk, and you'd be right! And that's absolutely something that should be addressed! The jobs that do not lend themselves well to working at home are disproportionately low wage positions with proportionately few opportunities for career advancement, and we should totally be devoting our attention to that right now. But such nuance is lost on armchair socialists like Labelle, who'd rather just lazily lump them all into the "minimum wage" category than spend 5 minutes doing the goddamn research like I just did. And it pisses me off, goddammit, because as one who is inclined to look favorably on social democratic principles it burns my biscuits to see these obnoxious little gib-me-the-free-stuffs shits like Labelle come along and completely misrepresent the world the rest of us have to live in.
Can anyone disprove the "I live now in Finland" claims?
Nobody here thinks that, lol. We're just saying that they aren't currently making minimum wage.I getv that Sophie is a tard but are you bootlickers really gonna argue that nurses don't deserve better pay in this situation lmao
Needs more revolutionary consciousness.
