God, tumblr. Most of the freaks migrated to twitter the moment the 'NSFW ban' was put into place. I like to kind of watch on the sidelines to see some bullshit happen, as many people would describe it, sites like tumblr are just ongoing tranwrecks.
There's this really specific community that's really kind of. Special to tumblr, at least compared to other websites I've seen with cows casually waddling around. It's called the RPC (role play community) where sub-par writers come together to write fictional (and, at worst, actual people as if they were fictional characters).
I remember this one case specifically in early 2019ish. There was this rper who roleplayed a bunch of young female anime characters, but had a NSFW sideblog. They had a huge hugbox of fellow subpar writers that didn't know basic grammar coddle them and constantly put onto a pedistal. However, this one fucking. Genius, right. Took once glance at their blog and... Yeah they were literally writing their 'self insert character' in detail, fucking animals. Full on feral animals. And they claimed it was just 'a kink' the moment their ass got put on blast for it. Fun times, really. I just think it's funny how people can just be so out and about with their bullshit and expect someone not to step in it.
EDIT: I looked back at some archives and it turns out this bitch (apparently went by the name 'Noka') also had a dedicated vore blog where they wrote characters like Toph from Avatar the last Airbender being vored and shit. Yeah, just an actual basketcase 'kink'-fueled tumblrite. The person who initially found this stuff was smart enough to archive it, a rarity from tumblrites to actually have a brain cell.

People have literally told them fucking retarded shit like 'you're a bad person. your muse (what people call their characters) murders people therefore you condone murder'. And 'I would talk to you but you scare me. Why? Because your muse is mean.'
Hell, it's not even villain muses. It's remotely 'mean' muses that don't treat other muses like the gods / goddesses / whatever the fuck they are. I've seen someone throw a hissy fit for a muse 'being rude to theirs'. I've seen someone legit have a mental breakdown when someone was 'mean' to their muse. A lot of tards in the rpc project on their muses WAY too fucking much, pretty sure it's unhealthy in most cases.

It doesn’t help that so many people perpetuate black and white thinking within the community either. If you get too involved you’ll witness namedropping, callout posts, vaguing, entire discord chats dedicated to dropping “gossip” (EG whose muse called whose a pinche pendejo ICly and who is GASP WHITE OOCly!!!). You will see that you can’t do anything right, because if you aren’t a tranny who is also conveniently a POC, your options for what to write are limited to white characters with no personality, and even then, they’ll make fun of you from the sidelines with their fake internet buddies.
The RPC is a wankfest for sure. There’s no pleasing the vast majority of narcissists that flock to it to lovingly jerk off their flying monkeys and sew anxiety into anyone they deem ‘not worthy’.
TL;DR tumblr: not even once, where every dangerhair, big lipped, bean eating fucktard reblogging SJW rhetoric can wear their pussyhats and eat their cake too as long as they don’t outright ship or write something the status quo doesn’t like.

Re: the RPC talk, I follow a lot of theme makers that specialize in roleplay blog themes, and even they aren't safe from the drama. The theme makers, even if they don't roleplay themselves, get caught up in the catty drama and gossip about who's plagiarizing who/using someone else's bias or faceclaim for a theme/all this other shit I can't keep up with. I remember, back in 2017 or 2018 (I might've mentioned this in another post), some theme makers got driven off of Tumblr for not making disability-friendly themes. The disability-friendly theme ruckus has died down because people realized nobody cared, but it sticks out because even now RPC themes are fucking tiny and only made for very specific screen sizes. But that's easily another thing you can get into drama for, even if you're just associated with roleplayers.

I've seen weirder than that. I remember years ago the South Park fandom got pretty big and there were random people on Tumblr who did more than draw fanart. They dressed up as different characters from the show (Kyle, Stan, Tweek, Craig, etc.) and they used to film clips and make gifs as the characters and they'd act as the shipped couples. I thought it was weird how they actually started playing the characters on video.

Many of them are 14 - 17, but there's a few 18 - 20 year olds in there (and some even older people, as the "bio" screenshots show), but to be fair, aren't a lot of the Tumblr people around this age?

Tumblr's been dying off, so most of the teenagers have moved onto greener pastures, like this Discord. At this point, I'm pretty sure most Tumblr users are adults who have used the site for years and just haven't left yet.
