So major update. A major spoiler scene has leaked. Resetera and Sony PR are going nuts about it. Someone has access to a near full/final build and has been leaking story cutscenes. It's quite possible the entire story could be leaked soon.

Looking strongly like all the leaked spoilers are true.

This has to be an absolute nightmare for Sony and Naughty Dog. The leaker claims to have all the main story cutscenes. I'm really curious if the leak can be traced back to disgruntled employees. A lot has come out over the terrible company culture the last few months.

Now I'm really curious if Sony/ND are going to try and do some major rewrites to save face.

EDIT 2: I'm impressed. This was somehow even worse than the 4chan leak: at least with Dina it could be a story of revenge where you rescue Ellie and live happily ever after as lesbffs; having you play as Abby, the woman who fucking beats Joels head in with a golf club and kills him, having her kill Ellie as the final boss, and the game treating Abby and her Asian entourage as the good guys is beyond stupid, and just acts a gigantic middle finger for anyone who even remotely cared about these characters in the first game.

I know this is supposed to be a post-apocalyptic nightmare, but this just seems like a really bass-ackwards direction to take your series. Especially with someone as thoroughly unlikable a protag as Abby.

So Sony has to be pissed over the ending. It sets up the people who kill Joel and Ellie as heroes and it effectively makes a Part 3 impossible. Aka it kills the franchise. They'd have to tell other stories of people in the setting which is doable, but a risky move.

I can't believe they are killing off their LGBT Goddess, it just doesn't make any sense lol. They really think themselves as filmmakers, gameplay is the same shit but these people insist on red herrings, on pulling Last Jedi twists. I admit they got my attention on how are they going to kill Ellie, I even respect them for not making her that amazing invincible lesbian they were hyping but it will infuriate both fans and looneys no matter what. No wonder they delayed it, this was a company killer. What's worse is that it's going to be changed into a generic safe version. It's a pick your poison with this game.

I meant it was in the first game. I guess it was there to try and make the decision to save Ellie over getting a cure to seem less like a bad thing and more Grey, since there wasn’t a guarantee killing her for the cure would even work.
