I think I've posted some of her other stuff before but she's just about the most completely awful yet least self-aware person I've ever seen. She simply cannot understand why the men aren't flocking to jump through hoops and deal with her shit, or ask her for sex advice (she claims to be a genius and a master sex educator).

She seems to have self-diagnosed with every disability and mental disorder in existence, plus some she probably made up on her own. Someone recently introduced her to "spoon theory" so now she's a spoonie too.

Her most recent stunt was threatening and harassing people with couples profiles and reporting them to the police/FBI as "revenge porn" and trying to force the women involved to dox themselves to her in order to prove they consented to the photos and to stop her from filling their inboxes with threats and stop wasting police time.

You're being a smartass but the orcs/goblins are what men turned into a few weeks in the trenches in WWI; people forget that Tolkein went through some shit. He also opposed the industrialization of the English countryside so the villains were industrialists. Hobbits were regular rural Englishmen.

WTF? This has to be a troll. Twins have a long history in African folklore and culture. Some groups give them special status, some view them as evil. But they're there, and they precede WiPiPo in Africa by at least a millennia.

I can't find the source I really wanted, but I know I've read how in some tribes the mother of twins are given a special title as an honor, in others they and/or their babies are actually killed as the epitome of evil.

IIRC it was something written by somebody who took a dim view of Joseph Campbell and the way Campbell tried to universalize myths and legends. I think the author's point was that tribal groups a few hundred miles away, even in the same language group, could have a radically different take on stuff like this, with a whole bunch of myths and legends with radically different lessons.

Based on the way he describes most Haradrim they sound like Arabs, a/k/a North Africans. Could "Far Harad" be something like sub-Saharan Africa? Seems like a bit of a reach to me, but I'm a little surprised none of the Twitter-literati haven't weighed in with that quote yet.

Unless, OFC, they've never actually read Tolkien in the first place. 🙄
