Yeah, she’s not even a good actress. I know a lot of people in this thread don’t think DID is a real thing at all, but there’s a big difference between Chloe and believable DID cases. I’ve taken quite a few psychology classes and I still remember seeing a documentary on DID (I can’t remember what it was called, unfortunately). When people would change into their alters (which never happened on camera btw) it really was like they become a different person. There was one person in particular who made art, and her alters had radically different art styles. Another person actually sounded and acted completely different when they were their alter.

I know you can always say “they were acting” or “they were delusional,” but at the very least those people in the documentary put on a far more convincing show than Chloe does. They also didn’t have 20+ alters to keep track of and attempt to develop a personality and backstory for.

If it's the artist I remember, I'd peg her more as truly schizophrenic than DID, with the alters being produced by bad therapy.

If I was Chloe’s mom or dad I would be so offended by her pretending to have DID.I know it’s been pointed out in this thread before, but the thing in common with all DID cases (those that have actually been studied academically, at least) is severe, recurring childhood trauma. Either your parents were extremely abusive or you were constantly exposed to someone who put you through extreme abuse (which kind of implies your parents are neglectful at best for not realizing abuse was going on). Chloe still has the good sense to not throw her parents under the bus and is trying to maintain a good relationship with them (as seen by her consistent denials that her parents abused her), but just by claiming to have DID she’s already making them look bad.

I mean, look at how Jamie was taking it. He tried his best to be supportive and caring of her, but he was beginning to feel run down and at the end of his rope when he contacted her mom. And he only did that because he didn’t know what else to do, but was obviously reaching out to her mom out of love and concern for Chloe. Iirc, she accused him of being abusive when they broke up, didn’t she? He also found out that she had been blocking people on his twitter or insta, too, which is fairly indicative of a controlling nature.

I also have a really hard time seeing a significant other reaching out to someone Chloe has vaguely hinted at being abusive (she kept telling him she didn’t want to go home iirc) for help, too. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but Chloe has said before he was a good and caring boyfriend and was really supportive of her. So, she must have been just as vague with him or he was under the assumption that her parents truly did care for her well-being.

Just realising too that with those Dark leggings she has made leggings may be (correct me if I'm wrong) based off an 'alter' of hers, Dark, in the 'Drawing my alters' video that was the incarnation of AN ABUSER. Though it's debated whether Chloe even has these abusers, it's fucking tasteless regardless that she would use the depiction of or the art from someone who has abused her in the past in her merch, even if they are an 'alter' of hers.
