To summarize the last few posts, there is a trend for Japanese video games to make their females as hot and sexy as possible as well as allowing people to mod them like you see in Soul Calibur 6 and the last two Resident Evil games. Whereas American and Western European game studios just want to try to make more normal or "realistic" as possible and the results are no good. Eastern European game studios like the Witcher guys are definitely more in the Japanese camp and hell go further with being able to fuck prostitutes, something that caused an outcry over GTA San Andrea's hot coffee mod.

I view people who play video games as escaping from reality, they want to be something more than just normal life.

To immortalize this monumental fuckup, I made a video using a bunch of the shoops with the beat up and bloody Joel, set to a catchy tune, and y'know what happened? Mere hours after I uploaded it to my personal youtube, it got taken down with no warning whatsoever. One of two things happened here.

Either fans are colossally assblasted and flagged it for removal, or ND is in full damage control mode. Either way, it's pretty amazing I wasn't even given a notification or justification for its sudden removal, especially since I'm not monetized.

They really succeeded in making the characters look bland and unimportant by giving them no real distinguishing features and having them wear grey green clothes.

Maybe this says more about me, but when I watched that trailer even today, I didn't even realize that wasn't Ellie until the Asian shaved head guy showed up. Then I figured it out.

Which also means, based on the spoilers, that this scene takes place AFTER Joel's death most likely. So does that mean the killers in this trailer are trying to get revenge for Joel? Or maybe they're just random; who knows?

Funnily enough a kill everyone ending doesn't have to be miserable or definitive if handled right.

I'm going to get sperged at for this, but I actually enjoyed the original, low resource version of the "bad" Destroy ending in ME3. You fucked civilization, Shepard was killed, and everyone you loved sacrificed themselves in the process of destroying technology that had been based on the Reapers...yet at the same time you were throwing off their influence, giving the universe another chance, and there was bittersweet talk of being able to rebuild and ultimately recover.

It wasn't just a roided up Illusive Man angrily smashing a pregnant teenager's face into the dirt.

Bioware fucked up and the three main endings were absolutely awful, but that specific variation appealed to me in a weird way. It felt like an actual sacrifice with believable loss, rather than just going down a bleak route because the writer had an axe to grind.

Up to you guys decide that she looks okay or not, but thing totally makes sense for a female character having body on steroid in apocalypse time. Then again, it's probably because how they really want to "desexualize" female characters in game.

And bad news for @jellycar , the character is mocaped and voiced by Laura Bailey.



People actually speculated Abby being Ellie's mom or sister when she was a mysterious woman in the second trailer.

I know I'm :late: but I call serious bullshit.

If Abby's body is supposed to be based off of her then they royally fucked up. Abby's shoulders and chest are unnaturally large compared to the rest of her body. There's a reason people are making Dick Splitem and Senator Armstrong jokes because she has their exact body type. This chick's body's proportions are a lot more natural-looking. She's muscular but it's not unnatural looking.

If you watch that Paris Games Week trailer carefully, Lev (the Asian with the bow, supposedly voiced by transman) didn't want to help Abby because Abby is/was one of the people breaking Yadra's (female Asian) arm. So I'm thinking this trailer is more like somewhere at the start of playing as Abby.

Meanwhile, if you watch any of the leaks on page 20, Lev has hair, the clip where Dina argues that Ellie shouldn't leave for revenge then scene switch with Abby (seems like shorter hair) and Lev.

Something else I want to point out is that while this could reasonably frame Joel as a villain, it doesn't really explain why Ellie would be demonized as well. Joel murdered an entire base full of Fireflies while Ellie was unconscious the entire time. If anything it only justifies Ellie even more; she wasn't aware of what Joel did. Why should she have to suffer? And since Abby murdered her father figure, why wouldn't the player want to see Ellie get back at her? Why should the player sympathize with Abby enough to where we want to see her beat the shit out of Ellie too? At best they could understand why Abby killed Joel, but that isn't enough to justify her actions against Ellie.
