No, he pled guilty, which means he admitted his guilt. You can bet if Marshall had taken his charges to trial he would have been found guilty and received a considerably harsher sentence. The terms are agreed on by both parties, if Marshall was innocent of the charges he should have taken his chances at trial. He described his crimes in his own words.

You STUPID, DUMB cunt. Plea bargains are to provide an easy out for the guilty as well as a way to not clog up the legal system. If he was so sure of his innocence he should've taken it to trial. Surely he could've convinced at least one of 12 jurors of his innocence, especially since the defense gets to help pick the fucking jurors.

He took the plea deal because he's guilty. Now it's in permanent legal record that he's fucking guilty. Also daily reminder he's legally precluded from owning guns and if you let him touch one of yours you are also guilty if a felony.
