The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

So maybe a "here we fixed it" DLC within a year after release.
They were already in deep shit with sony by needing a few million to build that fake church to reveal the lesbian kiss. That's the day their good will with the company died. Sony stopped doing live events because of how negative the reactions were to it.

WAIT A SECOND, HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE

Those are her nipples?? Jesus fucking Christ, my sides are in orbit.
Where will they be in Part 3 after she gave birth? Touching her toes?

There's no way in fuck DLC can fix this. This is a Mass Effect Andromeda situation but way worse because the whole game can be pirated before release.

EA had enough sense to just cut all future plans with Andromeda and refunded people if they bought the season pass. Sony refunded people before the leaks got real bad.

Any and all future DLC will just be throwing good money after bad. There are so many core game problems on top of management problems that would hinder developing any future DLC.

ND used mocap for nearly all animations it looks like which jacks up the cost considerably because top quality mocap requires lots of cleanup artists, and not only that you have feature length amounts of mocapped movie scenes. That is not some quick job, that's many months of work which is why people still opt for regular 3d animation by hand. But if you switch from Mocap to 3D Animation, both styles do not mesh and either will stick out in a sequence if the types of animations abruptly change.

Probably beating a dead horse by now, given that no one that probably thought of it is even in ND anymore, buut...

When Marlene informs Joel that Ellie was to be sacrificed for the "greater good" or something, they point out that Ellie is immune to transforming, but she is still a vector (hence why when she's tested going out of Boston, she's shown positive), and the Cordyceps is grown all 'round her brain and skull cavity.

Wouldn't popping open that piñata expose everyone in the operating room? Those facemasks wouldn't help much (People use gas masks in spore-polluted areas for a reason) and the single sterile place that could "reverse engineer" the cure would instantly be useless.

Fuck, I'm starting to think the Fireflies were a sort of self-insert by now. :story:

Where's that meme where it's a black and white sequence and I think it's Alfred Hitchcok talking to another person about "Realism is the Death of Art and Creativity" because TLOU2 is Exhibit A for showing this. Druckman wanted everything real, and he got what he asked for, it didn't turn out the way he thought though.

SJWs seem to think realism is something that is really needed in games, at this rate they'll demand that every game forces you to eat, sleep and shit at regular intervals.

Ex-fucking-actly. This a game about a zombie plague brought about by a real life mushroom gone wild, go crazy with the infected designs for part 2. Maybe burgeoning psychic powers, strange biological powers like the vampires in JJBA, I wanted to see some strange ass bodyhorror here. But nah, we get cultists and MAYBE Clickers to fight against.

Sheesh, atleast the first game had big ass mushroom monsters running about in the later parts. The concept art for some of the infect from the first game is super creepy and cool, take a look;

I'm fairly fucking certain a series about killer mushroom zombies can both be realistic and unrealistic at the same time, Druckman. Just look at your first foray into the fucking series to base off of, and go from there.

There's next to no Zombies in the game.

Not even a Resident Evil style reveal that shows parasites or something controlling the humans via their internal organs. Druckman wanted to get away from the zombie aspect and just tell a post apocalypse story that only existed in the post apocalypse as a crutch to hide the shitty writing.

I want body horror monsters and mutant zoo animals because it would be cool and interesting, I love having corrupted forms of ordinary objects and lifeforms like in Deadspace, especially if you can tell what they were before they transformed. That's just some good monster design and environmental storytelling.

So, here's the thing:

I'm fine with things that are "super realistic and grounded." I'm also fine with things that are not at all realistic. There's a time and place for each thing.

It's THEIR job as storytellers to make me "believe" in anything they present with their story.

People can shit on the MCU all they want, but who didn't mark out during Thor's entrance to Wakanda in Infinity War? On paper, the scene itself looks dumb and ridiculous: A viking demigod with a giant ax hammer, a talking tree, and a gun-toting raccoon teleporting from space to help fight a war against space dogs? Absurd. But, with effective storytelling, the scene is awesome and fantastic because Marvel managed to make everyone care about this demigod, talking tree, and gun-toting racoon.

Scrapping cool ideas in a zombie game just because they're "too unrealistic" doesn't mean they have no place in the story. It just means that you fucking suck at your job and aren't talented enough to make people believe that those scary monsters exist.

I noticed that one of the cutscenes (I think it was even in the trailer) is Ellie and Dina at some kind of prom-style dance in a tent with fairy lights. It looks like something out of Life Is Strange. I couldnt be less interested in that shit.

They won't be able to fix this shit show. What they need is to have actual writing talents and not even progressive views, but artistic ones. If it leaked that one of the original doctors survived or it was just someone Joel wronged in anyway, it wouldn't be as much of a big deal, but the "my tranny daughter" going after the cheating smelly lesbian girlfriend and killing off the main loved characters as a "twist" is unfixable. Like if the end boss revealed to Ellie what joel did, then you fight the end boss as joel alone, a no win fight, and ellie just walks away because of how much you betrayed her. More "last of us" shit because ellie is alone and joel did it to himself.

So, I've been thinking about it some more and I don't get why Abby spared Ellie or her girlfriend. Bitch just murdered her way cross-country (assumedly) and Donkey Kong'd them both so bad that you'd assume they were car crash victims. This is someone beyond reasoning and that you're not going to be able to talk down with any number of teenage pregnant lesbians. It probably would have pissed people off even more if Abby responded to Ellie's pleas for mercy with "then it's a twofer" and slit Dina's throat but I guess it would feel more authentic? Honest? Feels like the only reason Ellie and Dina lived at all is because they're main characters. Just cheapens everything even more knowing that the worst either girl gets out of Abby's tard rage is that Joel is dead (which everyone figured would happen anyway the moment it was announced that Ellie was the main character).
