Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

I didn't mean to attack your family and I understand that no two kids are alike, even if they might have the same condition. I believe you when you say that your family member has a good time there and I appreciate that your family does not have entitlement issues.

All I really wanted to say was that parents taking advantage of their tard to do something THEY enjoy but makes their kid miserable (prom for potato kids etc.) is a pretty common thing in internet parents. You'd think people who never shut up about their martyr status would put their offspring's wants and needs first but I guess not.

I didn't take it as attacking at all. That's just MY family. But I do get pissed off at parents that use their children with disabilities for attention for themselves and put them in situations that make the child anxious or uncomfortable. Their children are props for them to dress up and parade around for attention. They play the saint or martyr and claim everything they do is for their child when it's for them. They want 'normal' experiences, despite what's best for their child.

And the state will tell these parents that they have a lot of power. That goes to their head and they make impossible demands of everyone and everything.

There's plenty of autists who enjoy disney and carnivals and stuff enough to put up with stuff they dont like. It's when they're made to put up with shit and they get no enjoyment in return.

One example is how Fathering Autism tries to teach his daughter to grocery shop, which is a retarded skill to teach her at her age and levels, and she fucking hates it and gets no enjoyment out of it. Now if she did enjoy say going through the electronics aisle everytime then sure, but she gets fucking nothing out of putting up with all the sounds and lights and instructions.

Slight OT but I never understood why all parents of "special" kids are so obsessed with Disney World. Yes, it's the "happiest place on earth"... When you're a neurotypical kid. A noisy, colorful, overcrowded place is an autist's worst nightmare.
Reminds me a bit of the Killen Clan. Massive trainwreck of a family that maybe deserves their own thread. 4 biological and two adopted kids with severe disabilities, mom only gives a shit about the bio kids, dad doesn't give a shit about anything apart from his video games. They sent in letters to the Make a Wish foundation for their 15 year-old wheelchair-bound kid who is also mostly blind and suffering from PTSD (!) and cerebral palsy. And of course they wanted a Disney trip for the entire family. Of course. Let me know if there is any interest in discussing that family and maybe I can put a thread together. They don't really belong in here because all their kids sadly do have some awareness of their situation.

I just saw their You Tube channel. Adopted from Ukraine. What could possibly go wrong there?

I've never heard of an adoption from Russia or eastern Europe where they didn't have HORRIFIC problems with the kids, even the ones who seemed normal.

Found another FB page for a kid with trisomy 18 though this one seems to actually have awareness and whatnot. Also an article about a couple whose fetus had trisomy 18. Unlike Kayli's mom and other horror show fundies, they wanted to abort specifically because they wanted to spare their kid from suffering horribly.

TL : DR - the baby in that article died 2 days before the scheduled procedure. What a crushing blow that family had, on every level.

Here's an interview with a funeral director and a woman for whom she planned a funeral for her unborn baby, the only time she's ever had to do that. 😭 It's about 30 minutes in length.

Yeah, but to be fair the two kids they adopted seem really sweet despite their issues.

The younger boy, Aidan, has a twin brother who was adopted by a different American family. He now goes by Andrew and the family in question is called the Nolan family. Andrew is now leaps and bounds ahead of Aidan because his family does not ignore him, he gets enough food and therapy.

Narkeez, the older boy, seems super adorable. He's always smiling and happy but he has almost no toys and broke his femur a couple of years ago under mysterious circumstances and still didn't get surgery to repair his leg(s). Kid got fucking bedsheets for Christmas last year.

Tl;Dr the kids don't deserve to be neglected and could be doing so much better despite their handicaps if given adequate therapy, love and a proper diet.

And she has bullied the already strapped school district to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on "special needs accommodations" that only benefit ONE child.
Who really isn't a special needs student because she is propped up corpse.

That reminded me of when some org that grants wishes to terminally ill or just super disabled kids (but not Make A Wish) offered to grant Kayli one while on a trip to Disney (that the org had also footed the bill for IIRC). “Kayli’s” wish was to have a parade while at Disney for “all of her friends with Trisomy 18.” I’m not sure if they actually had a few kids in mind to include initially or not but ultimately it was just going to end up being Kayli (surprise, surprise), but Disney shut that idea down real quick. Their reasoning was it would be too difficult to work out all of the logistics that go into planning & executing a parade in the park, especially out of the blue & essentially just for one non-sentient kid. Kelly has dogged Disney & whatever the wish-giving org was ever since. She complained that all Kayli wanted was a parade for all of her Trisomy friends & the powers that be refused to do that for her little veggie princess.

I just had my first experience with an unofficial parade for attention. Roughly 15-20 cars had traffic backed up to a standstill in front of my office. While I was stuck trying to pull out, those idiots just sat there slamming on their horns & waving balloons out their windows. What made my blood boil the most is that they wouldn’t pull out of the way for a fire truck running code. The fire truck had to drive down the turn lane & lay on their horn since the lights & siren wasn’t enough for the selfish bastards to move. I really hope this isn’t going to start being a thing even after the shutdown ends

Not to mention liability. Those parades are practiced & choreographed within an inch of their lives. That's why if you do see guests at parades, it's usually marching bands & dance troupes, who know how to march in step & formation properly. All those scooters/wheelchairs along the parade route in the Florida sun (regardless of the time of year), along with the other motorized floats? Someone falls behind, they're getting run over. As well as the other 99.9% of their park guests who can their for the regular ol' Disney experience. That they paid for me. With their own money.

I ran across this during munchie hunting, and I felt it was a good fit for this thread, but not because the mom is insane the mom has a key difference that sets her apart from most on this thread - she is realistic about the injuries, prognosis and treatment for her severely brain injured baby. She accepts that her child has a severe brain injury, she doesn't seem to demand unnecessary treatments to keep her alive, but instead is caring for her the best she can. Plenty of religion, MLM shilling and social media presence, but mom's realistic and doesn't tout every movement or noise from her child as a miracle. Sharing here because it seems like a good contrast, to show there's another way to live that life- without denial, magical thinking, and general unpleasantness of someone who demands attention for themselves because of their special child. I'm trying to do this without bringing them up on google search result.

initial image that drew me in:
a mom realistic enough to describe her child's brain as "liquified" deserved a closer look

the facebook page is called Prayers for Christa

I chose the "horrifying" link because that's exactly how I feel about it. Her sperm donor belongs in prison!

Were all the TV stations out in force? This seems to be how NBC News ends every evening's news episode.

A couple years ago, they had this obsession with autistic kids who had a birthday party and nobody showed up, so the police and/or fire department saved the day. One wonders how many of those first responders had to deal with irate kids and (most likely) exes who were furious because these people couldn't be bothered to show up, or even foot the bill, for their own kids' parties. Oh, and of course the TV station was there. Can you say "gift grab"?

(And what kind of parent RSVPs to a party and then doesn't show up?)

p.s. The only "Trisomy" they're going to see there is people with trisomy 21, Down Syndrome, because that's the only autosomal trisomy that isn't incompatible with life. Sex chromosome trisomies like triple X or Klinefelter Syndrome are not, and most of the people who have them live normal lives and probably don't even know they have them.

Even if they could put the people (Kayli) on a float, which itself is unlikely as they're sculpted into specific shapes save for a platform (which may be tiny) in the upper reaches, that'll be at the expense of the usual performers for that specific float. And people will be pissed if, say, Donald Duck's float comes up and there's some horrifying veggie sped up there instead of Donald.

And then there's the problem itself if they kept it simple, no floats, just a band and various characters and minor performers walking around doing it "spontaneously" instead of taking over and ruining one of the normal scheduled parades. People will also be pissed for the park to shut down part of the walkways for an unscheduled parade celebrating some horrifying veggie sped. They tolerate it for the parade because it's the fucking parade, but I imagine it'll be far less forgiving to have to stop or double back for fucking Kayli when you're trying to get around the park and see shows and shit.

Decided to peek on Sarah, the fundie with the fucked up inside out baby and thought this bit was interesting considering she was whining about how quarantine was preventing her and her buddies from harassing women at clinics.

Also a pro-life propaganda site posted a guide on how fundies can harass medical personnel into wasting resources on their fucked up zombabies and potatoes. They even specifically mention trisomy 18 and 13.

We are now at a time where doctors and nurses don't have enough supplies to do their jobs AND keep themselves safe.

I wish one good thing would come out of this...tell these people to piss right off.
Not so long ago, that is exactly what was done.
Parents were not allowed to dictate what should be done in hospice care after birth cases.

Yeah it still pisses me off that Jaxon's parents somehow managed to get blood and plasma wasted on him. Ventilators definitely don't need to be wasted on shit like brainless or inside-out babies.

I also found this site with stories of fundies carrying fucked up fetuses to term. While no one should ever be forced to have an abortion (just like no one should be forced to carry out a pregnancy), some of these conditions are just so fucked up that abortion probably would've been the best choice for the baby's sake if no one elses.

Any caps of Kayli's mom whining about the wish/Disney thing? Because holy shit that sounds both awful and completely on brand for her.

Here’s the post. I stand corrected, she did get her way bc an org called Give Kids The World caved. Disney apparently sent some of their characters I assume to potentially avoid the wrath of Kelly & her fundie ilk.

I read several of the stories. None of them involved putting babies on futile life support, something I do have a problem with, and with two exceptions, and just in passing, they didn't mention any religious beliefs at all. My observation about parents who choose to do this boils down to one thing: They wanted to have their baby for as long as possible, and it's a decision nobody else can make.

When the McCaughey septuplets were born in 1997, some people criticized the parents for not reducing the pregnancy. Yes, they're devout Christians, but that's not why they kept them all. They just plain old wanted all of those kids! At that time, a local TV station did an interview with a couple in my region who had a septuplet pregnancy a few years earlier. They said, "We are not religious people, and we both have very strong pro-choice beliefs. We just didn't want to do that." Even though she miscarried the entire pregnancy within a few weeks of its discovery, they still had no regrets.
