It's actually hard to imagine someone with old family roots in America not having Cherokee blood. Especially in the parts where my ancestors lived most of the poorer folks were intermarried just because Cherokee women were available and they wanted wives.

True, my family has been living in Appalachia for almost 300 years in some places, dating back to the colonial era, and a lot of people did marry into the Cherokee in the regions where they were prevalent, especially since the Cherokee were more tolerant of white settlers than other tribes.

I don't have any Cherokee blood or even family rumors of Cherokee ancestry as far as I know, but that's because my family mostly lived closer to Shawnee territory at that time.

I wouldn't be surprised if I had some distant Shawnee blood way back in there, but unless I took a DNA test, I doubt I'd ever really know. But I also really don't care too much either.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm just some blue-collar white guy.

We’ve come full circle. Instead of fundies getting mad about D&D because they believed it was satanic, we now have SJWs getting mad at the game because of racism and ableism.

The post itself though is annoying. Is it now not PC to dislike being disabled at some points in your life? I’m pretty sure most people that have lost their ability to walk would gladly take the opportunity to walk again. Also, I’m sure many blind people would like to see things clearly again, because being blind makes you more vulnerable and lessens chances of employment.

You know, for people who claim to be all about respecting cultures and whatnot, SJWs can't understand the concept of people from other cultures having different tastes and sensibilities. In a very large number of cultures, you don't show off amputated limbs or prosthetics if you can help it. Hell, we're talking about a character in a fantasy world. An adventurer, no less. And one who lost her limb to a werewolf, meaning that anyone who knew about it could suspect her of being a werewolf, too.
