Yo mofos. I got another political rant coming for ya later. But for now let's cure your spergery first!
I still don't believe that this is real. Are people still taking this at face value (pardon the pun), or has this been revealed as nothing more than Chinese propaganda already?
This "news" came out during the exact same time China's narrative was all about how the "darkies from Africa were bringing the Coronavirus back to China" a few weeks ago. They were literally banning anyone with darker skin from shopping or going out to eat.
Anything to not accept the blame or responsibility for literally ALL of this. I bet that the Chinese Nationals ate this all up, too.
Honestly. You can see on this very forum. My first reaction was an alex jones meme because I thought it was some kinda joke. Like this seems so implausible. But that being said.
This isn't biologically impossible. It isn't caused by the virus. But taking into account they were treated by chinks god knows what their blood looks like. We got some mofo that turned into papa smurf, this isn't even the weirdest skin coloration I've seen.
But the timing does seem coincidental. My guess once I figured it wasn't a joke was that first they were hiding it for obvious reasons but when some propagandist figured it could justify their racism and fit their "oh no virus so dangwrous every other country should stay locked forever" narrative they tried to use it. But yeah, it could also be pure bullshit. Then again maybe some TCM idiot bought the "niggers unaffected by virus" and intentionally caused the skintone change. With china nothing is too stupid to be ignored as a possibility.
is it just me or do a bunch of government officials look like they've aged yeears in the matter of weeks? my governor has surely seen better days.
Stress is a hell of a drug.
And this is why you shouldn't blindly trust Science, it is always 100% completely right....
Until it turns out to be wrong, but NOW it is totally 100% right.
The scientific method doesn't 100% trust established science. I trust the scientific method 100%, I do not trust established science 100%. Funny that I had a spat with
@Disheveled Human about this very thing on this very thread. People need to realize how science actually works.
Yeah but we aren't allowed to do that. If you dare say you dare say that people like Bill Gates or the WHO are blowing this shit out of proportion you are an "Anti Science Moron."
Bill gates is a lawyer known for his abusive legal practices managing to push a frankly incompetent operative system to prominence. The who is a chinese propaganda machine led by a war criminal. What the fuck does that have to do with science?
I figured that immunity would last for 1-3 years since that's typically the range that immunity lasts for coronaviruses. What I'm wondering is why epidemiologists didn't figure that since they were working with a coronavirus, that they should initially treat it like the common cold at best and SARS at worst. I know why the media treats it like the doomsday virus, but I would think that would be an educated guess regarding this novel virus in the scientific field.
The hilarity being that the scenario epidemiologists predicted and worked out of is literally called a "pandemic flu" scenario is enough to make your comment send my sides into orbit. Don't mistake what epidemiologists like Fernando Simon worked with and what "epidemiologists" like those idiots in britain making bullshit propaganda models claimed they were working with. Very different things. I recomend you all look up the talks by ISCIII members (specially Fernando himself) about this and you'll see the contrast between a scientist and a propaganda mill.
Its not a matter of not trusting Science, because Science is a process of reinforcing and refuting claims until something is widely accepted as the most logical explanation.
The issue is blindly trusting scientists, which is anti-scientific, because part of being a scientist is having your findings shot down and torn apart by other scientists.
Even more pressing, the issue is blindly trusting "scientific" organizations that are political in nature (WHO), because they have a vested interest in cherry-picking works & findings that support their policies and nay-saying those that dont.
The sad irony of it all is if you go on Facebook, Twatter or the wrong Discord server and post about how the mortality rate is less than 1% citing legit academic studies, they shout at you and call you a "science denier" and counter with shitty policy numbers given out by the WHO.
And there it is. Thank you. People need this drilled into their fucking heads. Peer reviewed journals are the best aproximation to reality we can analyze through currently available evidence. Scientists are humans. Big difference. Science is no religion. Stop treating it that way.
Why do we trust scientists to dictate our economy. Its fucking mind boggling. They are killing us and they don't even know it
Scientists, more concretely epidemiologists, have been doing this successfuly for ages and killed no one. Said epidemiologists have been pushed aside and ignores for "scientists" with no real merit paid by propagandists to misrepresent the data. The ones killing you aren't the scientists. It's the politicians. The reason they trust the propaganda departments is because they tell the propaganda departments what to say.
- WHO praises China for clamping down everything and creating a dystopian novel
- WHO praises Sweden for doing nothing
Consistency, motherfucker, do you speak it?
Because they're paid by the government for their work no matter what. They're focused on a different type of number, not if Mr. Smith is going to be able to feed his family in a month.
Yeah not gonna lie. WHO seems to be in opposite day. They praised spain just as the residence fuckup caused massive amounts of unnecessary deaths. They licked spain's arse when the PPE shortages caused hospital outbreaks. They literally seem to only praise countries when they're doing things wrong.
That's because it's no longer Science. It's
Scentism.
Et voila. Don't mix science with religion.
WHO desperately trying to rewrite history... they were telling them they’d all die a month back.
It’s more the way scientists are reported tbh. Science works by ‘this is how we think the world is on the best evidence we have now, minds may be changed if ...’
The media doesn’t like that and the public doesn’t like it either. I’ve had the media talk to me before and been totally, comedically misrepresented what I was trying to get across. They needed drama and we didn’t have any, so they just made it up.
So for example I was really surprised when the data about smoking maybe being preventative came out because I’d have bet money that the opposite would be true. But if that’s what the data says, then that’s what the data says. Let’s all shove a Nicotine patch on and have a smoke...
A scientist looks at it and says ‘well that’s interesting, we were wrong. How does that work?’
A policy maker will have inertia because if they reverse their policy then they themselves will be seen as wrong. That’s why so few politicians do U turns when faced with similar stuff. It’s a sunk costs thing.
The media will spin it as whatever gets most clicks/drama. The media has zero interest in conveying nuance or possibility of error.
The public will whip themselves into a frenzy.
A politician who will say ‘yeah we fucked that up. We worked on x evidence but now it looks like y. We change direction accordingly’ is a rare bird and one You should Consider voting for .
This was my experience with the media:
Media: hi! Today we are with otterly who has cured death
O: lol no.
M: so tell us how you cured death!
O: we havent cured death. We’ve pioneered a genetically targeted regime that increases average survival in this patient group from 4 years to over fifteen, meaning they get longer with their families and some die of old age before disease
M: So you’ve cured death? They aren’t dying!
O: they die, just later.
M: Death! Cured! When will it be available for all? Can we live to a thousand?
O: are you on glue?
media runs with ‘Mavericks cure death!’ headline. .
And then there's that issue. Here, have some videos on the topic:
I've got plenty of tales (2nd hand) of how journos absolutely and abhorrently misquote scientists. Often deliberately. As i mentioned here in spain we're literally shown examples and taught what to look up for during interviews. And even then journos just keep getting better at twisting words and often times just straight up add very small segments of what the scientist said and then paragraphs of bullshit additions by them. When journalists try to tell you scientists say the sky is blue. Go check. It's probably turned green.
