What weirds me out more than the troon's questionable choice in literature is the room itself. Clean, well-furnished, books seem like they are in good condition. We're talking a world without a cure - there are SOME immune, but even then, it's a small number and the vast majority (60% of the WORLD initially infected). And seeing as how this game is full of groups that patrol and kill anything in sight (not even just the infected) - would be pretty tough to "live comfortably". And this game takes place what, 6 years or so after the first game? Quite a turn around.

Yeah, I imagine that it's a bunker or some kind but to still be that well off seems contradictory to what's been established. It certainly doesn't seem to endear her more to players of the first game who saw the hardships everyone else has lived through.

Well, they do in TLoU (Tommy's community seems to be managing better than most) but it's fairly limited in what all can be done due to the horrifying mutant fungi out there and general asshattery.

Because the universe created in the first game, and even more so in the second, is incredibly bleak to the point it's more cynical than hopeful. Couple that with the fact that there is no cure for those who are infected and I'm sure from camp to camp living conditions vary - some areas may have been hit harder than others. It's similar in Fallout, most of the games take place near or around nuke drops.

Been hearing about the crap hitting the fan in this series. I appreciate what I read initially, and was actually looking forward to some good playthroughs. Not a PS player myself, and, if this SJW shit keeps happening, will likely not be. I've lived in Commiefornia for a couple of years, left for more sane places. Sony was doomed the day they moved to that state.

Did anyone archive the main leak as a zip or torrent? I've been trying to look for the full picture. The censorbots are hitting most of the mainstream video sites with with not only hard copyright strikes but taking down places where screen caps are used under Fair Use, so data is becoming less and less available. I always like to keep a record of stupidity for future reference.

Yea but most "leaks" that generate hype usually come out a healthy amount of time before a movie, show, anime, or game's release date. Bad leaks usually happen pretty close to the release date and usually speak of how stupid the overall direction of the story was and/or how badly poorly managed the production was.

1. This is the most likely outcome in all honesty unless Sony does something to truly wow the public and win back some goodwill.

The PS5 will likely be a retread of the PS3 launch unless the rumors of full total backwards compatibility with all previous consoles are true and Sony goes above and beyond to make up for their recent fuckups like the censorship policy or the ongoing trainwreck that is Last of Us 2: Ryona Boogaloo.

2. This could happen, but not as likely as the first scenario simply because the failure of the Wii U was partly due to issues unique to Nintendo.

3. Highly doubt it, even in this shitty day and age. If anything, I think Microsoft will be the first of the big three to drop out since Windows alone gives then more "Fuck You!" money than Sony and Nintendo's entire assets combined. At this point, Xbox is an afterthought for Microsoft more than anything.

PC gaming could be good, but it's also prohibitively expensive for most people who want to play newer games. A console is expensive, but not to the same degree as buying a gaming PC or even building one in some cases, and the upgrades aren't as constant in console gaming than with PC gaming.

I think Sony consoles are here to stay for the immediate future unless we get a major fuckup that makes Last of Us 2 look like the second coming of Pac-Man in terms of its unpopularity and alienation of the customer base.

as an Xbox FanBoi I'm gonna speak on behalf of my #XBL4Lyfe team:

1. Microsoft has gone down the same woke path of Sony, they are late to the game but they are making up for it (See GoW5). I fully expect the same shit tier of ugly troons in my games for the next gaming cycle.

2. Xbox Series X will hit number 2 and stay there the entire time, Nintendo will be number 1 as the big N gives no fucks about IdPol

3. MS is committed heart and soul to shoving the Xbox into your house, being your PC, your center of entertainment and a branching off point for everything you do. This is their goal, this is why they hand an HDMI In/Out and the Kinect to make the Xbox your entertainment hub. MS spent BILLIONS securing enough CPU's from AMD to cover this gaming system for it's life cycle (3yrs).

4. MS is buying studios left, right, and center so they can compete. You don't do that if you are going to leave the market and surrender $$$ made (Xbox is turning a slight profit) to Sony/Nintendo. MS is new to this and they've fucked up Rare and the GoW studios already, expect more crashes and burns of MS First party studios except Ninja Theory as they print money.

I'm now going to wait for the Xbox to go through the same shitty cycle that Sony just went through and expect the same result: Shitty IdPol, AgiProp games, with ugly people that I can't relate to, that suck balls and i'll get all these garbage tier games for free and never play them (Gaming Pass), the hardware will be great, the multiplayer will be great and I can play the same games as those on PS5/Switch but with better supported backend services.

all in all a big MEH for the Xbox future.

I miss mass effect 1 and 2.

I think this game may mark the end of Sony’s dominance at least for the time being. Unless the PS5 does some real spectacular shit like say being backwards compatible with all previous Sony Consoles and the best launch line up in the history of launch lineups I only see 3 possible outcomes

1. Much like the ps3 it stumbles out of the gate until Sony eats humble pie and regains it’s footing. The PS5 still gets third place but the latter half of the systems lifespan is definitely a great improvement over the first half.

2. The PS5 becomes the company’s Wii U: A flop that causes Sony to rethink its strategy and shift gears by introducing the PS5.5/PS6 as a fresh start.

3. The PS5 is such a flop that Sony is forced to bow out of the console game.

One you'd probably not know about since this universe, apparently, has Christian hate groups roaming around searching out those to kill with no law or enforcement to stop them. Also, for a game set in the US, there are a fuckton of Asians in the sequel even though they make up like 5.6% of a healthy population and most are in major cities (you know, where shit hit the fan) - also, we know self-segregation is still a major thing even today, I imagine in a post-apocalyptic world, the would ramp up even more.

It's just weird to me that a game that seems to want to show the brutality of a world breaking down, also wants to force in the progressive agenda, while continuing to end these games in pretty bleak ways. This game is really just melodrama with a gore fetish.
