Oh they have. They’ve DMCA’d videos that don’t even have any pics or videos of it, just people talking about the leaks.

What is it about these companies going back in sequels and chastising the player for choices they were forced to make by the game's design? It's so weird trying to moralize and teach people 'the cycle of violence'. Is porn gonna be next? It's gonna be great when AssEaters 2 3d is just an hourlong TED talk on porn addiction and how it wires your brain. That'll make a lot of money for sure.

It's kinda pointless regardless from a pure logistic angle. You'd need to have a huge amount of resources to produce the vaccines (in the best case of being a single time injection) and even then what's the point? Most of the population already died from the fungus and the game shows that you need relatively light protection to go into infected zones where the biggest danger is being torn apart by zombies rather than accidently expose yourself to the fungus. And if you look at the places you go through in the game it seems a lot of the problems stemmed from fireflies rebelling -> Place tears itself apart in civil war -> Raiders/Zombies take control of the place. It is likely the USA would have been on road to recovery if the Fireflies just shot themselves in the head instead of sperging out.

I wrote something similar in the DMCA thread, but they're really fucking panicking. There's no way this was a decent idea. I wonder if someone ran the numbers or its just trying to remove every trace of it from the internet in desperation. Problem being, DMCA suits take time, we'll still be laughing at it and the game will come out.

That being said, I think people will, sadly, still buy TLOU 2. Or they'll just start throwing it in free with every single console and counting it as a 'sale'. But I think the studio and the franchise will basically be burned to the ground as a result. No franchise survives something as catastrophic as this. ME 3 wasn't as bad or disrespectful as this and it still cratered into the dirt. And that was basically just the ending, not the entire game. Even Bioware was killed by it. You just can't survive this damage. No game that's ever done this has. And people are still salty over ME 3 to this day. Imagine that times a thousand. How do you survive this creative abortion? I simply think its impossible. Especially with Druckman and Sony leading the charge, masters of competence that they are.

Sony will white knight for him now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a 'leave of absence' while ND is 'restructured' as someone else takes over the studio as he's quietly pushed out a year or two from now. This is a massive fuck-up of unprecedented proportions. Nothing has ever happened like this so long before a game's release. Somebody's gotta fall on the sword. And if they don't fire Druckman for sheer incompetence and/or basically creative suicide, they're fucking dumb as dogshit.

Its patently obvious they have no clue who the leaker is and it is definitely an employee of the company. Every line from them is blowing smoke. Don't trust a company frantically trying to DMCA just talking for how fucking stupid their creatives are and how terrible their game is.

Sounds like Sony and ND are striking everyone even discussing the topic without the using anything from the topic. Geeks and Gamers is still fighting their strike. Sony and ND are going after everyone even without use of anything in the leak data.

Oh, I'm sure they are trying to hunt the leaker down. I would love to see the conversations the Sony higher-ups are having right now. I feel like Druckmann is probably having flashbacks to his mom yelling at him with what Sony is telling him.
