Everything is relative. He's 'successful' like we're all kings of our own countries .
It's one thing to be Charlie Sheen, still making loads of money and able to pick up solid eights to snort coke off of when you are, comparatively to your past glories, washed up. You can still fire up a livestream and claim you're Winning.

It's not at all the same when, eleven years into your Legacy, you're still a fat pasty loudmouthed ignoramus who continues to willingly post his daily ineptitudes for the consumption of thousands (composed entirely of people who will move on immediately when you finally go away) and whose personal and professional failures have been analyzed to death as a combined result of your broadcasting every angstrom of it and of your tempting fate by waving your dick at the world and abusing your fanbase and your critics alike.

One of those things is not like the other, no matter how much he'd like it to be otherwise.

This makes me wonder, does he genuinely not realize that clown mode is just as bad, if not worse than "muppet" streamers?

I forget the term for it, but he rationalizes it as ok for him because when HE does it, it's a totally legit reaction and feeling he has. Everyone ELSE is faking it just for the money.

First it was the Project 7 ruining his throat lore, now it's I used to be poor talk. Used to eat two McDoubles before work started at Best Buy and then two McDoubles for dinner.

Maybe Nancy should put him back on that diet.

it was two mcdoubles in the morning and one mcdouble and two mcchickens for dinner, c'mon, he kept it light in the evenings.

$12.50 (he would get $12.50 back) out of $10,000 cuts the profit margins too thin for his business

also what the fuck has him so giddy tonight? before he even hit the tips goal, flaunting how he's successful and being not his usual 2017-2020 phil
maybe khet finally pegged his ass or a big behind the scenes cahntribution

I feel bad for Phil. It's hard growing up poor and going to private school from age 5 to 18.

Having your parents buy you the newest consoles when they release.

Phil's family was so poor that they adopted his cousin and paid for all her shit too.

Poor Phil. I mean he was living with his parents rent free when he worked at Best Buy, but he was so poor.

His parents also bought him a car, which he totaled because he is an idiot.

He was so poor, he was barely eating. Except when his mom took him grocery shopping once a week. He also (allegedly) was the fattest he's ever been.

Poor Phil. He could barely afford to buy two brand new Playstation 3's.

Phil's streaming career is successful. He "earns" over $100k playing video games at a low level with barely any effort and the most minimal expenses to do so. He's correct that I'm envious of his streaming career.

He's regarded everywhere as a joke, can't get sponsorship and has no anonymity. He's basically one fickle twitch mod decision or medical issue away from financial ruin at any time.

Phil just blew up about the celebrity cameo vids, saying they're a stupid waste of money.
Someone asked if he would do one if he were paid and he said it was stupid and he wouldn't.
Mr.Genius then realized that he does do this, it's his $50 Patreon perk. He probably forgot this because he refuses to mention the non-existent perks on stream.
He then plugs the Patreon perk. We should check it out if we want a video from him.
Phil alludes to this being better than the cameos because his videos are not public. Unless the person chooses to make them public. Yes, this makes no sense.
Phil then pauses before asking how much they charge - "I wonder if it's more than my Patreon?"
When he finds out it is $100 dollars, he scoffs and reacts with shock! $100! For that? What a waste! Phil says "Holy schnikies!"

Phil's brain then finally catches up. He realizes that he just shit on wasting $100 while he sits wearing a vest for 30 minutes for $100. He suddenly says "That was a Chris Farley reference!"
Phil then proceeds to detail his love of Farley, and then begins to get sad over the fact that Farley is dead.
Phil then says "Okay, no more of that, now I'm sad. Someone say something to cheer me up, fast!"

Great save, Phil. The only time he can launch a topic of his own is when he desperately needs to change the subject because he realized he just exposed the little mong behind the curtain.

that's a really good point. Both those things also have an element of inevitability to them, due to his history, inability to control himself, and poor health. That's really how it ends, it's just a question of when

Indeed. I'm envious of what Phil has now and the opportunities he's had... definitely not envious of his near future.

I'd rather keep my dignity, thank you very much. There are ways to make 100k a year, even though they are mostly illegal. Him trying to lie his way out of debt and forging his bankrupcy papers should be considered as a crime imo. Not mentioning, that he is 500k in debt, doing this for 11 years, meaning that he spent about half his money buying worthless shit. Many of us can live on the half to quarter of that sum actually being happy and not criminals.

You sure about that, cause this sub-forum and everything that has resulted from it is also part of "everything he has". Think about what you're really saying here.

I think what they are saying, and I may be wrong, is that if you ignore the negative aspects of DSP and his situation there is an enviable diamond in all that shit. Setting aside the concept that maybe his continued success is manufactured entirely upon his shitty attitude, bare minimum effort, and obvious displeasure of playing video games, having a consistent fanbase that could be cultivated and grown from his already substantial one and his straight earnings is a bit of the dream of any long time streamer if put into proper light. Then you realize that this barely self aware manchild has spoilt all of it and destroyed any redemption or recovery from his situations then any envy gets flung out.
