The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Are you really surprised someone very publicly attached to this is gonna come out and try and salvage it? He was never going to come out and admit the games shit, even if he personally believes it. Wait a few months/years to hear his actual thoughts on it.
I would expect he's contractually obligated to say glowing things about it, and I would guess anyone attached to a project like this with any kind of social media following has to put in a minimum amount of PR shilling.

Which creature is ugier?
Abby?

Or Senua?

Senua is from Hellblade.

Senua is from Hellblade.

Senua looks appealingly crazy and ready to throw down for a massive conflict. Abby just looks like a jacked up neanderthal on roids.

Plus Senua is designed and modeled like a normal woman.

Curves, narrow female upper torso, small arms and hands, but lined with some muscle for the conveyance of physical strength. And all without having to make your character look like a kaiju-troon.

Senua basically looks identical to the woman who mocapped her, with some touches obviously, but you can clearly see it was the same person. I have NO fucking idea what sort of god awful mocap they are using or just going in and MASSIVELY changing models for TLOU 2.

Also Senua is insane. Its part of her character. What's abby's excuse?

He wanted cold feelings to permeate through the game, he got the Polar Express.

I'm agreeing with whoever said they mocapped a male, then tossed who ever it is head onto it, to make well, whatever fuck that thing is.

Give a woman a short hair comb-over and broad shoulders and she looks like a guy, give a man long hair and a twink body and he looks like someone faggot at a death metal concert.

Don't you see how racist you are with your eyes by judging things on how they look? I pointed this out to you, I'm deep, praise me.

I'd like to use this window of opportunity to give props to whomever created David; TLOU's antagonist. Fiendishly polite, charmingly creepy and surprisingly resourceful. Dangerous. You get all that established in a span of five minutes, and all his worst atrocities are left to your own imagination. Look at the clip below to get a feeling of what I mean.
Edit: Had Abby had but a smidgen of characterization (beyond being a buff busy-body), I wouldn't mind playing as her. But, as it stands, she seems like a filler character made solely to advance the plot in general and to kill Joel in particular.

I was extremely surprised when I found out that Nolan North voiced and mocapped David. From Drake to David? That was a good performance

What's also funny is that "viewing Joel through another lense" was already done here, so them going balls deep with the whole Abby revenge plot is just revving up what they have done before

'So Mike, would you recommend HBO's The Last of Us?'
Someone needs to photoshop his beanie onto Abby
Edit: thought it was a Tim Pool reference (someone pointed that out a few pages back), please don't kill me, and my VCR needs no repair thanks

Honestly, they should have just said David had a (foster?) son and have him show up to cause trouble.

If you're just going to retread ground already well treaded, fucking go all the way. At least he'd have an excuse to be a psychopath being raised by one. (Allegedly, anyway.)

... fuck why not make him the protagonist instead. Give him his own story.

Fuck. I won't lie I'd rather any of the ideas we've been flinging here had been a game we got instead of this shit.

Any chance Sony jettisons Druckman and AssCreeds TLOU into an anthology anyway? I mean, maybe Sony Japan decides this was far enough and does act. Eventually.
