Correct, but I'm talking the minimum age to be in a porno. The age of consent used to be 10 in most states except for Delaware where it was 7 until the late 19th century when California changed their AOC to 14, which was when many states followed suit. Really shows you how things have changed dramatically in the last 100 years. Slavery was only outlawed 150 years ago. Only until the 1920s did the AOC become 16-18. Here's some links.

What's worse is that you can still purchase, trade, and even post on twitter pornographic photos and lifelike paintings of children which are considered to be "of artistic value." To give a very public example: Tony Podesta has a collection of lifelike paintings of children being abused which showed up in a New York Times style section feature maybe 9 or 10 years ago. Since then other writers have given glowing praise to his collection of "art" and praised the people who make them.

As for twitter, it was posted earlier in this thread but they recently made provisions for protecting pedos on the platform. Really makes you think.

Not only that, but pedophiles have been thinking up new ways to access children. Whether that be through the school systems, through fame and celebrity status, through churches, etc.

For schools, they could become teachers or bus drivers, kidnap kids from schools or bus stops or even enroll in elementary schools posing as children. And that last part wasn't an exaggeration, that stuff actually happens.

so how do we determine who is any level of retarded? wasn't that one way to do it? or was it just "someone can have the intellect and academic prowess of a rock, but be socially savvy", if not the notion of "judging a fish by it's ablity to climb trees?

What bugs me about some of these speds is that they try to lump children with marginalized groups. They treat them as if they're being oppressed. As if age was a characteristic akin to skin color, gender, or sexuality.

Does it ever cross their minds that the whole point of your teen years is that you're gradually transitioning into an adult? Do they not realize that kids driving to school or getting a part-time job while they study is them learning to adult? There's no point """"advocating"""" for children's agency when they're just going to grow-up anyway.

I find it laughable that they conveniently forget that any relationship between a minor and an adult is going to have a power dynamic. Kids are significantly weaker and are less experienced in relationships than most adults. No amount of """maturity""" is going to remedy that. Any child supposedly more mature than adults is just an outlier.

I genuinely believe these people are either painfully naive or have ill-intent.

To be honest that isn't so different from the race-pimps and troons advocating for all those other things. You only create a victimhood narrative if you want to extract profit from it. I'm immediately suspicious of anyone creating an elaborate vocabulary of oppression for themselves.

I remember back on SWFchan and 4chan there was this proto-cow named Minus8 who was an animator. He was also a pedophile, and flat out admitted it. Even if he didn't admit it, it would be very obvious what he was. But, he's a very interesting example of one.
If memory serves, he frequently ran DFEs out of shame and suicidal ideation. But he could never stop making his animations, even just more 'normal' ones. Here's an example of his style:
But his comments were what made him interesting. He knew what he made was gross, he knew what he wanted was evil, and he hated what he was to a huge degree. He genuinely seemed like he would rather die than harm a child. It's really strange to read whatever archives exist of his comments, and honestly makes me wonder if there is any hope for people like him or if they’re just broken from the start.
I don't know man, it's a fucked up world we live in.

Here's a question for you. I know that song was really popular as an internet meme, but the video seems different from the one I remember seeing. Did he just add parts to it, or is Minus8 the originator and it was trimmed down later?

A bunch of different people did their own versions and some were collabs or edits.
Another thing about Minus8 is that a weirdly robust community of edits sprung up around him.
He was kind of a cow of mine before I knew what that was, if that makes sense.
