Here's the thing about that and his Linkedin resume... He's a fucking liar so unless someone has actually verified it's all true, you shouldn't believe it because he says it.
There is a tool on the Cisco website which can validate, but it requires a CCIE Number to check.
A LOT of people also say they 'have' a CCIE when they have only completed the written exam and not the practical.
This doesn't actually get you a certification, and these people won't be able to provide you a CCIE number at all. Only passing the written exam means you do not have a CCIE in Cisco's eyes.
There are a number of CCIE Hall of Fame sites out there with a list of CCIEs, but these are notoriously incomplete.
Having had the ordeal of sorting through network engineer resumes and conducting interviews in the past, if they don't put their CCIE number down, you have to ask them in the interview whether they have completed the lab exam. Most often, the answer is no.
My guess is that Zoom only has the CCIE written exam, but if someone can find a number you can actually check to confirm this.
