It repeats a mistake I've seen elsewhere - this thread was not created in response to the livestream. It was started almost two years earlier and had grown to that size on its own without the livestream.

I tried to find more info about the book, but it looks like an e-published rag some gender studies major extrapolated from their thesis project. The only blurb I could find was in the Google search results which nonetheless told me everything I needed to know:

I remember learning about DID back in high school, so I'm inclined to believe it's a real thing. That being said, knowing how much the internet enables faking mental disorders for asspats, I'm willing to bet that there's a lot of fakers out there, just like with autists and troons.
