The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

I'm no expert on voice acting, but judging by the Kick Vic lolsuit, voice acting a small pool of regulars who get hired by the same studios over and over.

That's pretty much exactly the case. Its why you have video game and anime voice actors with literally hundreds of credits. Voice actress Sherry Lynn, in January 2010, in terms of total film gross, was the Highest Grossing Female in the Movies and 23rd overall, with a total movie gross of over $2.5 billion US for her work in only 26 movies. Voice actress Wendee Lee has been particularly prolific in anime: she has more credits than any other English-speaking actor, with about 300 credits and has been busy since 1985. Because the pool of voice talent is smaller than normal acting, the same actors and actresses just get cast over and over again. Its why guys like Troy Baker and Nolan North get so much work.

All you had to do was go to Microsoft's website and get their mailing address, mail them the console, and they'd either fix it or replace it for free. Even if you didn't feel like finding a box or paying for postage, there was an option where they'd mail you a box with prepaid postage.

Nobody had to go out and buy another console, that guy saying that is a reeetard.

@Unnguh is bitching about "fanboys" while writing overly long screeds kissing Sony's ass. He needs to settle down.
I didn't have to buy another console, but after sending it in 8 fucking times I did.

Sony is going to be rebranding studios when the PS5 launches.

This could mean greater studio oversight since they mentioned they pushed the global rebranding back to the PS5 launch.

It's an interesting development mostly because they're using it to push the prominence of first party titles. Basically the ideal outcome would be a Sega vs Nintendo situation with advertising. Consumers don't lose with console wars.

If they're smart (they're not), they'll put out multiplayer DLC. The multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 made fucking BANK. It was actually more profitable than the game itself. It helped that it was actually more interesting and fun than the base game. So if Sony wants to re-coup their losses, they need to include a multiplayer mode.

Unfortunately, Naughty Dog is against 'fun' so I assume it will be fucking horrible, where if you play as a dog handler and your dog dies, you're forced into a 15 second animation of crying while other players just kill you.

Though it'd be hilarious if it were just an asymmetrical mode where you have to avoid the serial killer Abby whose all hulked out and you're all 15 year old girls. If she catches you, she beats you to death with a golf-club and uses the environment to kill you in gruesome ways like a snuff video. That would get Druckman so erect he couldn't control himself.

If I'm remembering right, Uncharted 3 had this weird partially free-to-play multiplayer component instead of having it part of the game itself. You could play up to a certain level, then had to buy level cap increases. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a standalone thing here too considering that A: there's a disconnect between people who play the game for the story and B: the multiplayer is coming at a later date.

So basically they are just adding a brand to their games to let you know that the game was made by SIE Worldwide Studios to give their studios more exposure. I'm just surprised they hadn't already been doing that. Nintendo and Microsoft have no problems sticking their brands everywhere.

Sounds like you have some really shit luck potna. I got one of the first editions that got the R.O.D. about 8 months in, they fixed it, broke again 3 years later, sent it in again and they replaced my system this time, which still works today. I don't get why they didnt just replace yours instead of fixing a clearly faulty machine 8 seperate times. It's a little hard to believe tbh. Also unusual that you'd give more money to a company that sold you a console that broke on you 8 times.
God, I’d actually forgotten about how that one version of the Xbox’s had those Red Ring of Deaths happen all the time for a while after it’s initial release

Naughty Dog and Sony keep digging themselves a bigger hole that they have now seeped into the 8th layer of hell, with no hope of reaching the surface again, and I thought Lucasfilm and Disney were bad.
Naughty dog looks like it's going to be Ravensofted and then everyone is going to forget it once a new studio becomes Sony's golden child.

That or Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 gets shown first and you have to buy a PS5.
