Reports are that the taxpayers have paid 1.5 million for this garbage model.

Timmy Walz also plans to extend the stay at home order “with some modifications”, which he will announce at 6pm tonight.
You say garbage, but at least they're acknowledging the error bars.
For 99.9% of any scientific numbers the media will just go with headline figure and have no concept of range of uncertainty. If that chancer at Imperial had done this with his random number generator model we'd all be better off.

Ladies and fucking gentlemen we are at the highest degree autism possible oh god this is incredible.

So first off. I did not know one thing that apparently was public 2 days ago. And that is that a group of healthcare personnel and familymembers had already accused Ayuso of prevaricacion and imprudent homicide due to the residence issue. Link:

Now as you know the fuckup with the residences is something everyone messed up to some degree. But what this demand shows is that as it turns out in madrid most of the residences have some extremely shady financial numbers and private management under public funding which is used for some extremely fucking disgusting practices, so the PP might've been using them for money laundering. Ladies and fucking gentlemen, this is some hardcore shit I found out while getting links for ya. Holy shit.

So going into the main dish. Reason ayuso got caught with some shady money is that a journo wasn't given the phone to locate her officially and instead of wating for the paperwork like normal people and contacting her a few days later she went full kiwifarms, doxxed her residence by comparing the pics of her room, and found out it was a hotel that's extremely fucking expensive and suspiciously owned by a company that had some contracts with madrid. Yes, that is right ladies and gentlemen, we have not even started this tale and we've already reached peak weaponized autism. :semperfidelis: Welcome to spain!

So autism aside. This got journos to ask what was in those contracts, and they found this in one of them: https://twitter.com/EvaLamarca1/status/1260282763476942849?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1260282763476942849&ref_url=https://www.publico.es/politica/contrato-fantasma-madrid-hotel-lujo.html
namely that suspiciously there was a "ghost contract" that was made giving the hotel chain 565k euros, called a ghost contract because while it could be found by searching for the hotel chain it had been suspiciously stamped over when searching for the actual contract as a second one, with a different amount of money being given to a different chain, was placed to hide it from peeking eyes.

Now you may say doing this is only more suspicious, and you'd be right, but this is ayuso, she thinks the chinks can be trusted and that feeding the kids nothing but pizza is a good dietary choice. She's not our brightest. What was even more suspicious is when they contacted the second chain they claimed quite vehemently that they recieved not a single fucking buck from madrid, and were actually quite offended, because madrid has been doing some suspicious movements towards them asking for money in taxes and they didn't know what the fuck madrid was talking about, but as it turns out, this is what madrid was talking about. A contract they didn't ask for and recieved nothing for was claiming to be made.

The autism doesn't end here, as as it turns out, the sum of the two charges of money was exactly the same amount of money that a second group of journos was trying to investigate madrid for as they were given to the hotel chain in question but no one knew under which contract, and they only had the world of ayuso that it was to turn the hotels into hospitals for emergency, which is something they didn't do either. Hence, fraud. For more details: https://www.publico.es/politica/contrato-fantasma-madrid-hotel-lujo.html

This is now all over the news as an emergency investigation is being called in to fucking check everything ayuso has been doing because that's some corrupt bullshit if we've ever seen it. But it doesn't end there. The PP's response to this has been to send a pundit to the news to defend ayuso by saying that they asked K.ike Sarasola (dot added because the filter changes the name for "one of trump's chosen people." for the record in case it means something offensive in english. That's literally just his actual name. Officially. In spanish it means nothing.) if he had any shady contracts with ayuso and he said he didn't so that clears it. Sarasola is the owner of the hotel chain that recieved the shady money. Ah yes, the PP investigated itself and found it was innocent. Yay. Crisis averted. I guess nothing bad happened at all. No corruption to see here! I'm wheezing so hard right now. Holy fuck. I told you it would be glorious to see them handle it I did not expect such an early outbreak of keks this is absolutely fantastic I love this so much.

Which basically means "We'll allow you to open up for business again, but there will be so many obstructive measures in place and everyone will be so scared of the virus and afraid to go out that'll you'll only be able to work about half the hours you were able to work before the lockdown, meaning you'll make just as much money as you did on unemployment, only now you'll no longer have the government kicking in an extra 600 bucks." (Why did the government kick in the extra 600 dollars in the first place, if it thought that half pay was already adequate enough for us to live on?)

These people are simply utterly insane. No other way to put it. They are sowing the seeds of civil disobedience and civil unrest. THEY always get their paychecks, and clearly don't give flying fuck one about anyone else. Simply not willing to man up/woman up and accept a certain level of risk. This cannot go on. Life has risk, and tomorrow isn't guaranteed to anyone, anyway.

Here are two stories about our "favorite" New York mega-dufuses.

Should have thought about this when you put the entire state on house arrest, dunce. Not a penny for you, motherfucker.

Bill, I've shit smarter things than you. So has every other KFer.

How many weeks until that cunt's assassinated already?

Hate to double post, but certain of these little Hitlers seem to have gone so far off the rails they'll never be able to get back on. Whitmer is a prime example. The woman seems to have never encountered common sense. This is also true of many CA county "medical directors".

To be sure, there can be no halfway re filling stadiums. Either all or nothing. Having people sit six feet apart is a non-starter, deprives others of their seats. Have heard Major League Baseball also plans start in July to play without fans. Believe this is being done solely to satisfy various contract obligations.

These little Hitlers disguise their naked power trips as "minimizing risk". Bullshit. Everything has risk to it. If we get hit, we get hit. They need to end these power trips before those trips are ended for them. Concern about this grows by the day.

They must be getting desperate, they're starting to reuse their creepy sockpuppet characters. It's bad enough we have to pretend that tard spastic has anything insightful to say about Climate Change, now we need to pretend she has something insightful to say about the Chinaman Coof?

2 years till she's legal, how long until the left drops her ass and she can move on to doing crack cocaine and softcore porn? 2035 or so?
"The world can only be saved by depopulation. You guys gotta do it first btw, don't worry I'll do it later :^)"

Fauci's really trying hard to hang on to his fifteen minutes of limelight, isn't he? Trump needs to cut him loose because he's just fearmongering at this point.
He and his paymaster Bill are heavily invested in Remdesivir production and vaccine-chipping. If the panic escalates he stands to make enough money to retire to a private island, and people are treating him as a savior.

Michigan, USA

More factories reopening with Governor Whitmer (D)'s approval, more businesses reopening with or without it. Here is a drive-in movie theater preparing to reopen Friday.
(archive)

Owosso barber Karl Menke, 77, has had his personal license and business license revoked [temporarily suspended], and may face $1,000 fine and 1 year in jail per haircut. Mr. Menke was unavailable for comment when the article went to press, as he was still cutting hair.
(archive)
[EDIT: I was dumb and didn't read the article closely enough.]

Another protest is scheduled in Lansing (the state capitol) tomorrow. The state Attorney General, Dana Nessel (D) has stated that police will be strictly enforcing laws against "brandishing of weapons, trespassing into the legislative chambers, restricting and obstructing police officers, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace of ordinance violations," but will probably not be strictly enforcing six-feet social distancing.
(article, archive, Protest organizers' website, archive, Twitter, archive)

State government budget shortages of $3 billion this year and $4 billion next year expected. Some state workers are being laid off. Others are having their hours cut. Governor Whitmer has taken a 10% pay cut, and her executive team and cabinet a 5% cut.

SHUTDOWN SHOWDOWN
Shelter-in-place order from Tuesday March 24 to Monday April 13. Friday, May 1, Friday, May 15, May 28 May 1, maybe? (archive) (executive order saved on KF) . The Republican-controlled legislature has refused to extend Governor Whitmer's emergency authority. Governor Whitmer insists her emergency orders are all still in effect (Rundown on the laws).
State attorney general Dana Nessel (D) is also leaving enforcement of the stay-at-home order to local discretion until the courts weigh in on it (archive). She has stated Governor Whitmer's orders are valid and are to be enforced (archive). The legislature is not calling for civil disobedience at this time (archive).
The legislature has filed a lawsuit against the governor (archive). The defense must submit arguments by May 12, and oral arguments will be heard May 15 (archive).
State senate leader Mike Shirkey (R) is also supporting a petition drive to change the law. Such a petition would require 340,047 signatures to be collected. It would be veto-proof if approved by the legislature, and would go on the next general election ballot if denied by them (archive 1, archive 2, archive 3).
U. S. Rep Paul Mitchell (R - The Thumb) has filed a lawsuit independently against Governor Whitmer, in federal district court. Link, pdf on KF. He has also founded a committee to work on the petition recommended by Sen. Shirkey.
There have been at least nine other lawsuits against Governor Whitmer's actions during this crisis, mostly regarding the shut-down order, in various stages of progress and in various courts (summary of eight of them). However, "all deadlines applicable to the commencement of all civil and probate actions and proceedings" are suspended until the end of the states of emergency and disaster. Executive order, and thus in limbo. (archive).

OTHER SHUTDOWNS
Recap from NPR
Major protest at the State Capitol April 15 (A&N thread). Minor protest outside Governor's Mansion April 23 (archive). Protest at the State Capitol April 30 (A&N Thread).
The Big Three Auto manufacturers (Ford, GM, Chrysler) have closed all factories in the USA, putting well over 150,000 workers out of work. This figure does not include workers at supplier factories, which were also obliged to close. (archive) (archive) (archive). Auto manufacturing expected to resume May 18. (archive)

ECONOMY AND MISCELLANY
Over 1 million unemployment claims filed = 10% of the total population of the state, nearly 25% of the workforce (Archive - April 16).
Big Brother is watching, and he approves. Massive phone-tracking project reveals Michigan travel down by 45%, compared to 40% nation-wide (website) (news article archive).
Car crashes are down, fatal car crashes are down, and overall death is actually down. (archive - April 12)

FREE STUFF!
Evictions suspended while the state of emergency lasts (archive) Executive order. May or may not still be valid.
Water will be turned back on for all households while the crisis lasts (archive) Executive order. May or may not still be valid.

HEALTH CARE
Hydroxychloroquine banned by governor's order (archive). Nevermind LOL! Now she's asking the federal government for it and claiming the ban was a mistake in the first place. (archive). Detroit-area hospitals are testing the drug's effectiveness as a preventative on first responders and health-care workers (archive). Article on results, May 8 (archive).
Elective surgeries are banned. Maybe? Who knows. If/when in effect, abortions were not included in the ban (thread).
At any rate, hospitals are resuming elective surgeries.
Up-to-date count of available hospital beds, etc. in the State (the Detroit area is "Section 2, North and South.")(government website)
State of affairs May 5 - about half as many hospitalized cases and ICU cases as on April 12 (archive).
Detroit field hospital, capacity 1,000, closed. Never had many more than 20 at any time. (archive, May 7).

LAW AND ORDER
All localities given more discretion to release prisoners early (archive). It was an executive order. Who knows if it's still valid?
Lansing (the capitol) police are not physically responding to minor crimes such as larceny, property damage, and break-ins to unoccupied buildings, including garages. Other police are adopting similar policies (archive) (archive).
Detroit shootings up, but most other crime down (archive - April 30); Muskegon police report crime is up (archive).
Breaking the lockdown is a misdemeanor, punishable by $1500 fines and 90 days jail time. (Still valid???) Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) has stated there will not be a "ramp up" of police enforcement (archive). The attorney general has left it to local law enforcement to close businesses, as her hands are full with price-gougers and con artists (archive).
The police cannot, at present, pull drivers over simply for being out during the shutdown (archive). Multiple sherrifs from the rural north to Detroit suburbs have stated they will not be enforcing parts or the entirety of the order (archive).

OFFICIAL DEATH TOLL

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reviews deaths and adds overlooked cases to the count three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Recovery counts are updated on Saturdays.
19 deaths were added yesterday.

MDHHS said:
Regular reviews of death certificate data maintained in Vital Records reporting systems are conducted by MDHHS staff three times per week. As a part of this process, records that identify COVID-19 infection as a contributing factor to death are compared against all laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS). If a death certificate is matched to a confirmed COVID-19 case and that record in the MDSS does not indicate the individual died, the MDSS record is updated to indicate the death and the appropriate local health department is notified. These matched deaths are then included with mortality information posted to the Michigan Coronavirus website.

Detroit Metro (pop. 3,860,000 total; 1,796/sq. mi.; 694/sq km):*

48,021 confirmed / 4,674 dead yesterday
(i.e. 40 new deaths, down 31 from this day last week)
Normal Michigan Death Rate: 271 per day.**

Death toll doubled since: April 18.
We have been (were?) locked down since: March 24 (until April 30?),

*Here defined as the City of Detroit, and Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties, minus state and federal prisoners, who are not counted towards any county's cases, but are kept in categories of their own.
** As of 2018.
*** 38, 67, and 19 statewide deaths, respectively, were added on these days upon State review. Presumably most were in Detroit, but I don't know exactly how many.

Sure and it’s fair to give them a little credit for that. But the original version of the model had a projected range of 20,000 to 60,000 edit: it was 75,000 deaths, I believe. The ranges are so big that they’re useless imo.

Frauduci is the same guy that scared everybody shitless at the start of the AIDS epidemic (a real one with 100%mortality rate) by saying everybody could get it, not just fags and druggies. Can’t believe he’s got a job with more complexity than turning on a faucet.

Did somebody already post this? CSU (one of the two big government funded college systems in CA) is going online-only this fall. It's a huge system and this will be a big deal.

Also, everyone is pissed and depressed about LA County's Stay at Home order being extended till July - although theorists claim that this means that by the end of July, all restrictions will have been lifted and that we'll be able to go back to normal. We'll see which is right. If there's riots, I definitely want in on the looting.
At least one local city counsel met, and is drafting a letter to the LA County Governer asking for a special exemption to let them follow state orders instead of county orders, since their suburb is significantly more spread out than LA and their local businesses will not survive 2-3 more months of closure.

I posted it in the cancellations thread, but nothing here.

Plans are made for economic reopening with social distancing, masks are required indoors. Discipline and social distancing prevails! With these we can keep the economy on life support and keep people fed, while keeping the virus from spreading too much.
  • All due payments are suspended which are caused by loans to persons and companies. It is valid for capital and interest payment as well. This is in force up to the end of the year.
  • Short-term loans for companies are prolonged up to 30 June.
  • Loans delivered from 19 March may have a maximum 5% above the Hungarian National Bank’s interest rate.
  • Government remits subsidiaries which should have to paid based on the number of employees on the fields of tourism, catering, leisure, sport, culture and personal taxi services. Employees working in these sectors do not have to pay a pension subsidiary and the fee for receiving the benefits of the health sector is the minimum fee declared in the act.
  • Taxi drivers subject to the KATA tax system are exempt from tax until 30 June.
  • Rental contracts which are in connection with the above listed sectors may not be abrogated, rental fees may not be increased.
  • Contribution to the development of tourism (a kind of tax) is suspended until 30 June.
  • Labor rules will be more flexible, to make agreements between employers and employees easier.

The Order about these changes was published in the 18 March edition of Magyar Közlöny. Mihály Varga Minister of Finance and representatives of Hungarian Banking Association had a meeting regarding actions listed above.

We are also getting our "Orban Forints" , goverment aid to those whose work hours have been halved by economic restrictions.

I think reopening travel and eateries is early by half a year, but so far the goverment did a good job. If it explodes again I'm sure they'll clamp down again.

The state government has changed gears hard this last week. At the beginning of the month the reopening plan called for all customers to have masks to receive service, and said that outside of offices and retail spaces, all other businesses will remain shut through the month.

Then a week later it was announced the state would have to cut at least $770 million out of their budget. Suddenly the mask requirement for customers was revoked.

Like magic, suddenly restaurants, massage parlors, tattoo parlors, sports arenas, and government offices are on schedule to reopen later this week or early next week. Schools have gone from "we're not planning on reopening until further notice" to "here's our plan for students returning in the fall". Funny how money talks. The states calling for shutdown into july are going to get his HARD economically, they know this is utterly unsustainable. Everyone who is out and about is calling for the lockdowns to end, and resistance to mask wearing and glove wearing is spreading.

Hawaii has a 1.5 billion (with a B) dollar budget deficit because of no tourism. They're twisting into pretzels to affirm the Democrat panic consensus while also allowing infinity Chinese to come to hotels to prop up their unsustainable spending plan.
