I used to be a far-leftoid (before I started lurking kiwi farms tbh lol) so I know all the best lines to make lefty professors swoon. It’s very satisfying to have them beam at me when they’d do a 180 if they knew my actual opinions.

How will this case go if you were giving reparations based off of family llineage? Some white people have black family relatives and if a bill went through granting it, they too will also benefit from it somewhat indirectly in a small way.

Absolutely, and even in some classes you wouldn't guess. For instance, I studied engineering in a pretty rural university and as you can imagine, it's was extremely apolitical for the most part. That being said, one of my early classes was something like "Engineering, environment and society" and had a professor who made sure to tell us how evil western countries were and how they were responsible for all of the damage to the environment. One time he actually brought up how much pollution China produces, only to wave it all away by blaming it on colonialism and the influence of western countries. He even snuck a few jabs at orange man throughout the semester. Fortunately I never had to personally interact with him and the class was easy as hell.

I never really understood how anarchists were meant to deal with criminals if they actually managed to take power, outside of just executing them.
