So John, even though working as an investigative journalist, didn't even realize the journalism was subsidized/ sort of a loss leader
doesnt understand demand elasticity (oh I'll read it or free, I'll even sped $5 a year...but a subscription)

If you watched the video then you would clearly see nobody got shot until the victim escalated to a physical altercation. Regardless of who you think is guilty, racist, whatever, that part is objectively and totally true - to say otherwise means you didn't view the damn thing.

Aside from the fact that John never was an "investigative journalist," only writing a few bad opinion pieces for his college paper, there's also the tiny detail that "Brianna Flynt/Wu" didn't exist prior to about 2007 or 2008. Imagine if John actually did have stories from back then to prove how good of a journalist he was, though. He'd have to choose between flaunting his cred or keeping his true and honest woman status.
Naturally, we know what his decision would be: block anyone who asks.

He's a god damn fool and liar. First, those products, at the time, were mostly aimed at a nascent small and medium sized NAS backup market. A market that has now since long evaporated thanks to cloud. Anyways, he's comparing a business oriented product to a home one. Of course the home one is "simpler".
That said, the fucking GUI on those things made configuring the RAID, setting the NAT and setting the security about a 5 minute idiot proof process. You didn't even have to assign a static and block it off in your router.
John is sperging like he took an old Dell and turned it into a SAMBA server only through Putty remotely or some shit. Like his most moronic "explanations" -- the things John saw much more capable engineers and admins doing he turned into some sort of black box only he can explain. Even tho he fucking can't, at all, and most of the concepts are not that hard.
