If you look closely you can see that they do. Though I don't think it really matters at this point. Somebody still drew prepubescent chipmunks as 12-13 year old bare-chested human boys.

DA has made it very clear that tracing is allowed. Least, that's what I've observed over the years, any way. Hell, they don't even take down reposted artwork, even if the person claims they drew/painted it when they obviously didn't. You can report them and provide DA with proof it was stolen, but they won't take it down. Only time they do is if the artist whose art was stolen reports it, themselves. It's a wiggity-whack system DA has.
I wasn't a member but I followed the group quite a bit. I don't remember any really good stories from back in the day, I remember more drama from the Complaints forum then anything.

The last post on his profile was a comment he left in 2014, saying "Roger" died. I have no idea who that is, but maybe he left over grief or something? I find his art creepy, but I feel kind of sorry for him because I get the vibe that he has a personal experience with this disease thing. Unless it's just a fetish, I which case I take that all back.
I don't think DA ever gives a shit about stolen art unless it came from a super popular person. Same with how they turn a blind eye to an extreme majority of sexual violations and go after artists they don't like, who may or may not be in violation of the rules.
On his profile, if you go to the second page of comments, it's there. It explains his obsession with healing crystals too, maybe he just really wanted his friend to get better...
