Alright fuckos! Time for news. And we have some SPICY news. Hey remember how I said the Junta de Andaluzia was winning some hearts despite being PP? Well that comment's aged like the only the finest of M.ILKs can. Jesus fucking Christ allmighty! The PP really is rotten to the fucking core. So I'll leave the video explaining it here:
And a local archive:

And let me explain it in english. I won't do the transcript because I'mma explain it with background so you get what it is. So basically if you wanna know what he's saying. It's what I'm saying but with less background and more sarcasm.

So. First of, time to explain how Malversacion de Caudales Publicos is done. That long name is the specific act of stealing from the state through bureaucratic jazz hands (to put it in simple terms. Basically. If you steal funds by abusing the contracts and/or your authority as an elected charge, that's Malversacion. As opposed to regular stealing which is when you come in with a gun or a lockpick or hacking and just take the fucking money the old fashioned way.)

Then there is Prevaricacion. Prevaricacion is basically when you don't do your fucking job. That's IF you're anticorruption, or a public contract overseer, or just basically work for any of the public Checks And Balances. You know, if your literaly get paid to keep an eye out to stop corruption, and you get caught in a situation where either you knew corruption was happening or should've fucking known if you were doing your god damned job, and you didn't tell no one, that's prevaricacion.

Now how is this malversacion done? Well. Public contracts here and in all other countries which aren't extremely fucking corrupt, go through a process by which the state publicly states what they need. And they recieve multiple offers. And they pick the best. (And by best I mean typically the lowest bidder that still fits minimum requirements.) Up to that point everyone knew. Right? Well. This can be manipulated in one of many ways by politicians who might want to pocket some dough.

So how is that done? Well. For this what the politician needs is an Intermediary. What is an Intermediary? Well in regular business that'd be someone who buys shit to place A and sells it to B while making some cash inbetween. Capitalism is in many ways based on what such people noticed in the past about price variation by region. Nothing wrong with that. In these cases however, an Intermediary is a friend of a politician which makes a business with intentionally vague or excessively wide supposed list of areas of expertise specifically so that when the oportunity arises he can buy whatever the state needs at the lowest price available (typically WITHOUT caring about minimum requirements because his pal's gonna modify those so his merchandise fits anyway) and then sells them to the state at outrageous prices because his pal makes sure he gets the contract. There is plenty wrong with that.

So. How does his pal make sure he gets the contract? There's many, many ways. As they have adapted over time. In the past some favourites were: giving so little time for bidding and with such odd bureaucratic requirements that it ensured that only the intermediary (that had drafted the contract in advance knowing what would be asked) could put a bid in time. Simply "having an error" which misteriously makes it so no one gets the warning that the bidding is to commence, except of course, his pal. "Having an error" which misteriously keeps bids from reaching the state, except of course his pal's. Or just give the guy the contract without any bidding process at all and just claim afterwards he was the only bid. Also, simply acknowledging how many bids there were and giving him the contract anyway amd just hoping none of the other bidders would call him out has been done at times, but, it tends not to work, for obvious reasons.

So let's now use what this video found and how this is a practical example of this:

We have a suspicious contract which wastes 8.2M euros on 200 ventilators. That is 41k euros per ventilator. Which is 3 times the price you'll find for the luxury shit, and 10 times the price for the regular stuff. Well the state has a tendency to pay more than it should because of how restricted the bidding process is, because it needs to ensure quality and trust. So paying luxury price for normal crap? Yeah I can see that. Paying THAT much however? Fuuuuck no.

So who was the buyer? "TEC PHARMA EUROPE S.L." hmm. Never heard of them. In fact no one has. The business was created a year ago by "Armin Ghodsian Bazaz-Bazarian", (Oh hey! I thought we drove off the moors last I checked. Guess it's time for a second reconquista. 'Cause that sure as shit's a moor!) Who is the sole owner, administrator and worker or the business. The business at the time of the first contract had no location at all, and it was later amended to have 1 warehouse in Granada (insert second obvious reconquista joke here. God it's easy.) And only has 3000 euros to its name. Hey, 8.2 MILLION bucks for something he got for at most 3 THOUSAND bucks? That's a return on investment if I've ever seen one. And the list of expertises this guy has? Over 1 page of random shit related to food, medicine, equipment of all kinds, animals, etc. Yep. Found the intermediary.

And with such an outrageous bid how did this guy, that doesn't even pass minimum requirements for being spanish much less working in medicine, get the contract? Oh it was the ONLY bid. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. That's a bit odd isn't it? You'd think with so many small businesses, car factories and new workers pushing into the state ventilators as fast as they are through non-bidding emergency means at least one of them would've dropped a bit just to see if they got it.

Yeah. This is some OBVIOUS malversacion. Union's already working on a formal juridical case against the PP. AGAIN. These guys keep getting caught but for some fucking reason they have yet to get the memmo that with the new checks and balances we had since first round was added by Zapatero and second by Europe (one of the really good things the EU's done for spain. Again I am not one to deny the devil his due and I am i cresibly thankful for this.) We're just gonna keep blasting them back time and time again! Dude. It's not that hard getting used to NOT STEALING. Most people have! For fucks sake. Spain has one of the lowest criminalities in europe. But it seems we just ellect all our criminams.

My best guess as to how this is gonna go is Armin will get assfucked for Malversacion and the PP for Prevalicacion. If Armin betrays the PP one of them will go down with him for Malversacion but if he doesn't and they don't find anything. Which is what usually happens, they'll just get Prevalicacion along the rest of the department in charge for the contract. If you're wondering why the state can't find anything on corrupt assholes in this day and age. Wellhave you seen the pics of the amount of paper the PP shreds every time they leave office?

PP-destruye-papeles-643x280.jpg

And all of this was JUST FROM MADRID when Ana Botella lost regional ellections. There's a lot more from the other places but I think I made my point. That's a lot of shredded paper!

And as for computers. Last time they got caught (Caso Barcenas) they "just so happened" to have "disposed of the computers after a malfunction", said method of disposal involved, and I am not kidding here, constantly reinstalling the OS for weeks until they thought no data was left, bludgeoning the computers with a sledgehammer, and then burning them in an oven before sending them to the garbage. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING HERE THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT THEY DID STEP BY STEP. Needless to say. It was hard to find data.

If you're thinking "well if they're usually so incompetent how come they took so many precautions", would it surprise you to know before the death of bipartidism half a decade ago the supreme court was specifically apointed by PP and PSOE and directly served their interests. Including directly interfering with the investigation by apointing a fiscal who was part of the PP in the past and stopping the judge and even changing him out when he tried to investigate on the fiscal's more than shady acts? Yeah that explains that. Doesn't it?

So yeah it's slowly becoming apparent the PP's Juntas abused this crisis in an attempt to make extra cash like in the good old days before EU interference and the death of Bipartidism destroyed their corruption based finances. And it has really, really backfired as now the unions everywhere are going over their deals with extreme care and finding all sorts of theft. So we're about to see another purge incoming soon enough. Honestly I just hope this time it really does take the PP down for good so a better right wing party can finally fucking take it's place. Either way the next ellections are gonna be fucking funny.

And another thing:

In Cadiz we have "Los Pascuales", it's a chain of hospitals led by a guy called Pascual. Who has literally no studies whatsoever. (Private hospitals of course), see I mentioned how we have a hospital called El Provincial whose job it is to take care of the small villages. Well. That's the theory. But in practice only some can access it efficiently due to distance. Los Pascuales are private hospitals which take care of such villages. So far so good. Right? Well thing is. Reason Pascual got this gig is because of Teofila Martinez's (PP) shady deals. And his hospitals act as public hospitals and recieve state funding. Their only private part is the management. Thing is, of course, that means Pascual gets to claim how much treatment costs and the state pays him. And in the times of Teofila he made no secret of overcharging like fucking crazy. And Teofila was more than happy to sign his expansion plans to syphon even more money through him. Intermediary found!

When Kichi got ellected he tried to fix this. But hospitals go by SAS, which is Junta controlled. And the PSOE junta of susana diaz was notorious for its corruption. So you can imagine what went down. Namely he managed to severely reduce his overcharging, but not stop it, and was given no authorization to build further public hospitals to compete because "well healthcare is already assured anyway so it would be wasteful", yeah right... and paying 10 times the price isn't wasteful. Fucking incredible. Malversacion everyone, that's how that goes.

Anyway point is that the new PP junta once ellected fucked with Kichy even harder on this point. But what the unions didn't know until now because we've had so much shit on our plate all this crisis. Is the junta went so far as to force people from the villages to only visit his hospitals through the municipio system and drastically expand how much he's allowed to overcharge for this period "for the cost of adapting to corona", do remember that Cadiz was left practically untouched by Corona and Corona patients are sent to "dirty hospitals" ("clean hospital" means corona-free. "Dirty" doesn't allude to the hospital being dirty. It means its bureaucratically asigned the duty of adapting to allow corona patients to be treated there, hence isn't "clean" from corona) like Puerta del Mar, which none of Pascual's hospitals were, they were all "clean hospitals". So yeah, that's another crazy bout of corruption right there and we are gonna assrape them for it.

Honestly I am actually glad they were stupid enough to push this. Pascual has gotten away with it for decades now due to bordering the law. But this ain't no bordering and it showcases the problem with that asshole and his deals perfectly. I've wanted his head on a plate since I started helping in the union. This time I'm getting it. No matter how much concentrated weaponized autism it takes to bring him down, I have enough.

Finally. Have a dancing parrot. To celebrate this clown world extraordinaire.

If I were a Democrat, I'd be active in trying to get state IDs subsidized and free so that anyone can get them. You'd think with all of the free shit the left wants from the government, a $10 state ID would be the most reasonable and pragmatic to try to push on local congresspeople as a priority.

The more I think about it, I think realistically the reason why no Dems are pushing for free IDs is because that would mean they support the idea of photo IDs for voting, which is mainly a Republican thing, and they don't want the stigma behind it. Even though voter fraud shouldn't be a partisan issue, in this current political climate people are so tribalist that they wouldn't want to support something that their enemies promote.
Another thing you’ll hear is that these IDs require a birth certificate and a lot of old people don’t have those because they were lost decades ago, and a lot of poor people don’t have them because they’re more likely to move around a lot and lose things, and less attentive in general so they don’t make sure they have copies of things their kids need.

So, create a program to help get birth certificates for these people. If Miss Hattiesue Jackson age 100 doesn’t have a birth certificate and her place of birth doesn’t have the record, it’ll still be easy to establish she is an old black American lady, and there aren’t so many of those cases that you can’t help them out. And if there IS a record, well, cover the $15 it takes to get a copy. Even agitate for a free program so poor people can get copies for their kids’ needs.

Lots of things that could be done, but none get discussed or pursued. Makes you thonk.

Some Slappy observations across a few thousand miles of this great country.

First, fuck lockdown. Wife and I left AZ on Wednesday and fucking drove to Alabama, nearly 2000 miles. Not once did anyone stop us, ask us if we were "essential" or where the hell we were going or why.

Traffic across I-40 was light, mostly 18 wheelers, but plenty of RVs on the road with kayaks, ATVs, and other toys in tow. Seems like we weren't the only ones saying fuck this.

Every state was flashing stay at home and we're in this together and wash your booger-pickin' hands on their electronic message boards. Consistent messaging at least.

New Mexico was the worst with messages saying only two people to a car and other nonsense that was obviously being ignored. We didn't stop there because the Navajo nation has been a hot spot.

Texas was almost business as usual. No problem with finding a hotel in Amarillo and we found a nice bar and grill open and had a sit down dinner. The place was busy and had set up social distancing of only every other table, but people were side-by-side at bar and shooting pool and generally going on with their lives, no masks, no hysteria. Looked like any typical night at a bar.

Same in Arkansas. They've had a total of like 98 deaths through this whole thing as a state. Found a great BBQ and Catfish place off the 40. They had just reopened and we had a good 1/2 hour talk with the owner. They never went full closed and did to-go orders and he didn't lay off not one of his staff. The owner is also on the state board of health and had been providing guidance to their Governor. He said the Gov. was totally reasonable about all of this and there was no Draconian shit going on at all. It was great and absolutely refreshing conversation, not to mention fantastic eats!

Tennessee was brief and Mississippi seemed to be business as usual. Saw only very few people wearing masks and we stopped several places. One of the stops was at the Trump Bus! No shit, came across it parked on corner in the middle of nowhere Walnut, MS. Talked to several local folks there and honestly? Not one of them gave a shit about Corona chan.

Got to Alabama yesterday and all seems pretty chill here, as well. We're staying a few days to see Mom (83) and some other family, then dropping south to head back to AZ via I-10, stopping to see some friends in Texas.

Flyover country hasn't changed at all. Still beautiful and the people are genuine, friendly and nobody is scared. Don't believe a fucking thing you see in the media.

Gas was low as $1.35 many places and diesel (used in my truck) was under $2.00 most of the way with the lowest I saw at $1.49!!! Incredible and makes for a cheap road trip.

Eats and the Trump Bus for ya!

Well you're close to the point I think. The IDs require a birth certificate or some similar documentation like that in order to establish that the person getting the ID is a citizen of the US. They probably also require some minimal evidence or recent residence in the state issuing the ID. I believe that part varies and the general rule of thumb is that you have to live there for 90 days.

That, I believe, is the main reason that mandatory IDs will never successfully become a thing: The ID issuing authority is NOT the citizenship issuing authority. Issuing mandatory IDs on the federal level would receive the same sort of clusterfuck of opposition in the US as it would if the EU tried to force EU-issued IDs on its subjects. The states in the EU issue their own IDs, thank you very much, and the same is true of the states of the US. However, the states in the US don't manage citizenship status, and the state that a person resides in within the US is by design a very fickle thing. If anyone in the US wants to move to a completely different state, register, and then vote in the November election as a citizen of that state, there is still plenty of time left to make your arrangements and do it. Alternatively, if you want to move to a completely different state, NOT register the move, and then mail in your vote in the November election as a citizen of where you live today, that is also okay. Just don't do both or they sorta arrest you.

Now I'm not sure about the particularities of citizenship within the EU, but I'm willing to bet that Joeseph Schmoemenov, current citizen of Malta, could not move to Spain today and get his Spain-issued ID and be, for all intents an purposes, a full citizen of Spain within 90 days.

In today's address to the media, Michigan's Governor Whitmer -- when asked about the currently-projected budget deficit -- made it clear one of her first options will be to ask the Federal Government to help cover the shortfall. I'm not sure where she thinks they'll get the money from when Federal Tax revenues are also down and all 50 states will likely be holding their hands out waiting for Federal gibs to stabilize their budgets as well.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I think the plan extreme leftists have is mandatory permanent lockdowns, UBI, and the Federal Government prints infinite money to gove to the states. Automate as many jobs as possible, give some nominal extra salary and hazard pay above UBI for the absolutely needed delivery and govt jobs (and of course nationalize as many non govt jobs as possible).

Everyone stays in their pod, eats their bugs/soylent and consumes new products. All food and products imported from China. Equity for all at last.

There is so much wrong with that plan. But I think the most horrifying part is the fact that looking at how the dems are acting it wouldn't surprise me if that really was their plan. The boogaloo is coming, and at this point I think it will be a positive thing. I just hope we manage to keep china in check until the dems loose again. Then again with the current situation I'm fairly sure if china tried to take advantage all of europe and a large part of africa would be jumping at the chance to roll the fucking tanks. And I doubt the sand niggers would be any good at defending them even if they wanted to. Specially with both russia and spain currently salivating at the idea of nuking the sauds.

I lost weight been working out at home and eating better taking my vitamins and generally taking the virus seriously. Glad all you complainers are having a hard time coping because I'm going to steal your jobs and buy your house when this is all over. Keep eating frozen pizzas while you bitch about the inevitable change like you are health experts on this forum all day.

Yeah, I live in one of the southern states you mentioned, and no one here has given a fuck since this began (well except that first week when everybody went nuts for toilet paper and Ramen noodles). The local grocery store has those red lines on the floor at the check out and those plastic dividers between you and the cashier but that’s it. I saw a few old people wearing masks, no one else.

There’s a gas station here with a tiny kitchen/restaurant attached and they have stayed open 24 hours a day during this whole mess. Lots of people go there in the morning for breakfast and the old timers like to sit around and chat.

Our county death toll is at 26, so nothing too horrible.

As it should be.

Since this thread has devolved into a pro voter ID circle jerk let me be a voice of sanity for y'all.

A federal ID is bad because anything required of you by the gubmint for an action can easily be taken away by denying you that thing <insert voter ID issue here>

As will all cluster fuck gubmint programs, they also creep. Think of social security numbers, initially sold as totes never going to be used to track or identify you. Fast forward a few decades and I'm required to put that fucking thing on half the paperwork I fill out for shit that has nothing to do with social security, like medical and bank forms. Same thing will happen to your precious voter id, how long until it's used as an ID system to fly, buy groceries, or apply for your masturbation permit. And again, what was given freely to allow you your goddamn rights can be easily taken away. Or in modern political speak: the demonrat infested bureaucracy was unable to process your new voter ID in time for the election, please don't come again you filthy republican.

Yeah it sucks that our bureaucracy is infested with corruption to the point that votes aren't counted properly, illegals vote en masse, and all sorts of other shenanigans happen all the time. The way to fix that isn't voter id. How do we fix all those problems? Fuck if I know, but voter id would be a bandaid on a corpse in a blender.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the number one reason both parties were against voter ID until they lost their principles: Ihre Papiere bitte! (or Your papers please in a heavy german accent). And for fucks sake, how on earth are we arguing for another fucking government power while in the midst of being abused by said government with shutdowns and illegal mass quarantines. Have you people lost your goddamn minds? /rant

Can we get back to the regularly scheduled corona circle jerk now?

My Personal Theory Of Future Economy: What I think is going to happen is 3 main things.

1. Additional tax added onto regular taxes maybe 3%-5% for basic goods and services which would be temporary.
2. Heavy taxation of rich and wealthy individuals. Since the entire world is on lockdown almost all nations will adopt this plan of taxing big industry, rendering capital flight not feasible.
3. Cutbacks on non-essential benefits and services provided by the governing state.

All these cutbacks and tax hikes would be temporary and they would high ball the length these changes would last for until the country recovers most likely for many years. Shit will probably be stingy for several years but the vast majority will get by. In short Bezos who is going to be a trillionaire will default back to billionaire status.

Cool story doomer. Personally, I was already in great shape, have gained muscle and endurance from working out in a more targeted way, and have done it all while eating frozen pizza and Oreos. You couldn’t do my job in your wildest dreams because you’re a smug NEET who can’t communicate with people.

Of course none of that matters because we’re not here to discuss your autistic power fantasies that you can’t let go of now that people realize the virus isn’t the plague you wanted it to be.
