edit: quick fix

I will never understand the desire to be a female horse with massive tits and a schlong 8 miles long. Also human artists and their "theres no hair anywhere except this MASSIVE BUSH between her legs.

The last one, I thought the shit was a snake. Why does it have scales? Why Feral?

This "OC" is a ripoff of a Plants vs Zombies character.
Major Sweetie from Battle for Neighborville the newest PvZ shooter.

Sunflower, Major, beret, hell, even the eyepatch is identical.

Not to mention the plushs and having the literal same name.
Furries tend to make"OCs"which are literally just another property but in furry form. Gotta make up for the lack of originality I guess

I suspect a lot of it is overlap with kin culture; while often associated with Otherkin since they definitely overlap, I'd argue that the intent behind both are somewhat different. Otherkin is when you get people associating themselves mentally with a concept, such as them identifying as a wolf or a pixie or an alien. They might have personal 'sonas created as representations of this, but they're typically a build off of an inspired concept such as an existing character, species, or what have you.

Kin culture or "kinning" takes that framework and ramps it up to 11; instead of identifying as a general concept and applying some design frameworks to a self-identifying ideal, it literally just takes an existing character from a known property and adds personal touches to it. The character stays overall the same; but the kinner projects their own personality onto it, rather than creating something intended to reflect their personality.

Ultimately this is mostly just semantics since at the end of the day both Otherkin and Kinnies are lolcow culture hallmarks and basically the same thing, just with minor differences.

Okay so this thing isn't so bad and apparently they made a fursuit of it- but what the fuck is happening here? Why does the reference sheet look so needlessly complicated?
I get the snake is supposed to show how 'big' it is, but where's the dimensions? At first I thought the snake was wearing the dude's body. This is just a weird-ass looking reference sheet.

Thank God they made it into a fursuit themselves, I wonder what it looks like tbh.

I don't think so? It looks like the snake is being 'compared' to the size of the character. Either that or it is trying to say it lives inside the character, and well.... That's something.
I think that's what it is saying - Which is actually pretty unique and I like that idea in a weird way. Parasites and body puppetry you don't see often in 'cute' designs, only creepier work.

I was thinking the same thing like the snake uses the furry dragon body to get around easier and for dexterity. Whether the dragon is sentiant or not, depends on what kind of mood you want to present.

Most of these are fucking boring. Only part that's relatively gross is the poopdog, but even that could be worse because with that title I was expecting a dog made of poop.

I don't know what to say other than that this is a 'trend' I see with artists is where they'd add so much stuff into one picture in order to make it 'aesthetic'. Less is better, oh lord.
Artists like this miss the point of a ref sheet. My eyes aren't supposed to be bouncing all over the place cuz I don't know what to focus on.

Also, tranny dog, lol!
