Preston uses a lot of libertarian and Randian objectivist talking points. He seems to be very critical of collectivists and socialists. In his video today about having been outed he said he'd be voting for Trump.

That would put him on the right I think.

Edit: Oh yeah and he was bemoaning the fact that it's difficult to be a conservative in the kink community.

Ethan tries to play two sides of an issue and in such a way that he can safely deny being serious if called out on one of them. Preston gave the appearance of being pretty open about his libby leanings, just not those leanings. The reality is that there is no real block of conservatives in CG. Doug Ernst looks like he's walking out, and I don't know enough about JDA to comment, but I'm sure someone here does.

So for some reason people are banging on the “we need a comics union” drum again. Such notable people as Chris Piers of ComicTropes (who only recently was dragged into discussion about CG), and Darwyn Cooke’s loser wife (whom last we saw threw a fit when EVS and Billy Tucci said Darwyn would be pro-CG).

JDA is a hard faggot who thinks calling out Doug TenNapel will get him brownie points, as well as his accusations of Doug for being associated to a Hollywood pedo ring, "muh Truth" JDA is at it again. He also seems to be the one who's most anal about calling out "fake Christians", but by far, he seems the most questionable when it comes to his Kanye West style of self-aggrandizing that it just reeks of ego and moral grandstanding. And he's desperate enough to get on anyone's platform to promote his books, he'll try to barge in on anyone's livestream if there's an open mic. His whole beef with Peter Simeti started with him being banned in Simeti's chat for spamming the Robotoad campaign, or so I've been told.

I think the "alt-right" description fits him here. And let's not his incident with Vox Day and him being accused of being a white supremacist, despite being Hispanic. An argument that doesn't help is that I've seen a white guy claim to be an Asian supremacist when it came to justifying his yellow fever.

CG was mostly conservatives in 2018 or at least it seemed that way to me.

Now it's Ethan, Malin, Delay and Cecil all of whom admit to being liberals or at least Obama voters. I don't know any actual conservatives who considered voting for Obama unless they had stocks in military drone companies and zero scruples.

ComicsGate may have once been predominantly conservative but that ended long ago.

We’ve discussed before that he has some mild lefty leanings that leak into his videos, but upon inspecting his personal twitter account you can see he likes to post and retweet the same stuff most lefty comic pros do. I’ll give him credit, he’s less mean spirited, but he still does it with a smug “look at these jokers” tone far-lefties love to take. And again, I give him props for keeping most of this shit out of his videos and going so far as to make a separate account just to keep his political ramblings separate.

Goddamn JDA is so pathetic, he likes to crow about how successful he is, but it's obvious that he's holding his last shill penny and is desperately flailing about seeking any kind of attention that might get him another sale. Preston is his only friend now so he can't walk away of disavow.

JDA is sort of like a mime that only communicates through shitposting and trolling. This complicates things when he tries to eke out a career as a self-publishing writer.

  1. JDA demands Doug helps him in a unified front against Enemy X and sell his book because he needs other platforms to sell his content.
  2. Doug has second thoughts, notes how JDA has beefed with/beefing with every single person who has associated with him in his past.
  3. JDA gets angry and calls Doug a fake-christian sellout faggot cuck carpetbagger looking to make a quick buck off this culture war instead of holding to his alleged principles and promoting his comic like a real man.
  4. JDA realizes he's fucked up and still needs Doug to promote his book, tries to roll it back; can't
  5. Doug tells him no. JDA gets locked out or chased off of Doug's chat and comment section.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 until JDA moves on demanding new possible ally to help him in unified front against Doug.
