Wow i don't pay attention for a day and Digi sprays spaghetti literally everywhere.
I said this sort of half jokingly but I didn't expect it to happen within a week. So apparently Digi is coming out and trans and changing his name to Digi-nee. This is a terrible name tbh and I'm some what skeptical of this transition arc. Once again now is not the time for huge changes especially while Patreon $$$ are bottoming out.

There was a brief period where Digi tried to rebrand his channel to Otaku Gonzo Journalism and gave up a couple moths later. While I don't care about Digi coming out as Trans, I guess the part i find more jarring is he really seemed to be leaning into the "I'm a man with a beer gut and beard bro asthetic". I think the dichotomy of embracing this look and then transitioning in a short amount of time is jarring and alienating to his audience (It is too me at least). I think Digi is mainly going through a late 20s manic depression crisis and should see a therapist. The youtube thing isn't panning out, he doesn't have many friends, and the added pandemic stress. His output has drastically slowed down and he is probably feeling depressed about being stuck as an anime youtuber for a career ( Has talked about shifting away from youtube). Digi therefore thinks transitioning will make the house of cards depression go away. While it may help with the feeling of gender dyphoria, it won't help the fact that you spent your 20s being an anime youtuber and the $$$ are drying up. His channel name and design haven't changed yet so still pressing x to doubt. Only time can tell.

I mean it works out for them. I doubt either of them have an active life outside of their caves that doesn’t involve an internet connection. So not only does Digi get to become a cute anime girl like he’s always dreamed, but his wife can piggyback off of it for browny points.

The only thing i get out of digi making another persona is that, all you need to do to be a trans woman is shave your beard, make sure you don't shave it completely, paint your finger nails and add "nee" to your twitter profile. Now all i wanna know is, how long will this phase be before he gets tired of it and or gets called out by the trannies on twitter.

It was really just a matter of time once that story about him wearing his mom's clothes and masturbating came out. I was expecting the trooning out to follow some personal disaster so it coming on kind of suddenly is a bit unexpected. Like others have said this could also be another rebranding attempt that he'll abandon (relatively) quickly. We'll have to see how far he takes it.

Not only just wearing his mother's clothes, but also his fascination in his more feminine looks as a child until he reached his teenage years, there is something deeper going on here. It likely will just be another fad he kicks to the curb, but the denial and support from his lover and fanbase will just keep driving him into these mental corners. Digi wants to be very edgy and kind of lumped in with the IBS kind of crowd but has seemed to want to gel with the LGBT crowd since coming out as gender-fluid and now this. If this is pushed further into his content as in taking up his entire identity and maybe personality even briefly, he really could alienate a huge portion of his audience. His views have been piss poor and Patreon has been going down, and depending how this goes could turn off even more fanbase as Digi loves to use these new rebranding gimmicks 110% for the first month or two. At this point, I truly hope May actually helps him or seeks help for him. She has thus far seemed like she will just follow most of what Digi says or does and rolls with it, but I will keep optimism she cares about Digi enough to see Digi and his business are not in the healthiest of states.

I would like to outline a list of failed projects that Digi has started and given up on:
- Doing monthly rants. As far as I know Digi has essentially scammed a bunch of people into paying him for rants and never completed them all. This was the main $$$ for him. (Scam)
- Pleeb and the Weeb Blu Ray Dvds. This project was a complete clusterfuck. Digi and his friend Endless Jess kickstarted a rip off of Half in the Bag (Red Letter Media). Digi left the editing to Jesse who dropped off the face of a planet for a year only to finish it at a way later date. A kickstarter tier was made for blue ray dvds. As far as i know still hasn't delivered people their blue rays after kickstarting this project. Suprised this didn't bite Digi more in the ass more. (Scam)
- Two Weeks Review. This is a tier on his patreon for a podcast every two weeks. The last one was on April 25th (almost a month ago) and the one before that there was a 7 week gap. (Scam)
- I am Games ( Video game side channel) - Defunct

- Corrupting Your Kids (Digi & May Joint Channel) - Defunct. May now uses this channel to livestream

Digi is a person who flits from one idea to another, to the point that his history is the Internet form of a layer cake. This is probably his newest ‘thing’, but he has already said he’s genderqueer or something before this. I really just hope he doesn’t go do the full HRT thing, it’s really risky and I don’t it would make Digi pass better.
