Only the target demographic ever buy physical media, non-anime fans don't even give it a second thought. If they don't like the changes in the script that have no business being in that dub script, they're not going to buy that DVD and the company that produced those DVDs don't turn a profit to cover the costs. This is why pirating is popular with anime fans so they can decide whether something is worth getting for future, personal viewings (if they can't store a digital file anywhere) or not. And even then, they might just import.

It's disrespectful to the original creator to change the meaning of a work without their permission just because Japanese societal norms don't line up with an American's societal norms.

Odd. Monica's the one who keeps changing her story while Vic's consistently denied the allegations throughout.

Unrelated, but when you're taking pictures to promote your work, why would you even consider playing on your phone in them, much less posting them online? I'm not saying you can't check your phone or anything like that, but these pictures are meant to show you in the best possible light, aren't they? Then why would you want to be shown to be so inattentive?

Also, assuming for argument's sake that you actually have receipts, why did you think it a good idea to keep them to yourself even after getting sued, much less allowing Vic's fans to raise close to $300k for him to try to salvage his reputation?

Why are you obsessed with your 17 affidavits? You do realize it would have been more effective to have accounts from those who were supposed victims of assault, right? Why didn't Sara Bachmeyer provide an affidavit of her alleged assault? Why did you not get one from Mari Iijima? What about that Dana from that dancing group? Why did you need accounts from other people to describe what a supposed victim went through? What does that prove?

Also care to point out when Vic said he got fired for inappropriate conduct with students? Because I don't remember that.

I don't think it was as evident as you think it is. I would like to have a very clear answer "This document is one of the receipt".
If he tells me that "The affidavits are some of those receipts indeed", fine with me. But I don't think he said anything as explicit as this so far, and I certainly don't want to put words in his mouth by misinterpreting something he said.

So @Ron Toye, my question still stands: I'm confused about what you consider to be a receipt, can you pinpoint one? Thank you.

There are people who have Bot accounts set up to push their Videos. These videos then have an influence on google analytics. I will cover the tracking I did on the link posts for a few people once the lawsuit is over. On the people showing up to meet him, its due to him being the VA for some of their favorite shows. He has fans.

There are laws in the united states that are different than in Japan and customs or traditions that are not agreeable here. Again, if someone wants the other side that wasn't changed for one reason or another they still can get it, dubs are an option.

Since '08, off and on.

The examples I listed were referencing specific instances where lines and characters were changed not due to law or something not being understandable in english, but... for example, from YuGiOh DSOD. In the JP script, Joey talks about not abandoning a friend, in the english script it's turned into a joke about hot dogs. I can share a video from the subtitling process of this if anyone wants to see.

What is asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

This isn't a question, just some advice. The CENTRAL REASON a ton of people think you and Monica are lying is because you're always promising evidence, but eternally later™

The creativity of the fandoms, and how enduring the entire anime fandom can be. There's series that aired when I was a child still getting new content, new fanart, and new series. There's projects that have been long dead for years, which have had new life brought into them entirely via the love of the fans. That's the awesome thing about anime that is not found in many other mediums, the level of fan participation is astronomical, and it shapes the entire direction of the industry, and that love for the product is recognized and returned by the creators.

I understand the frustration but when 17 affidavits are submitted and people still think it isn't evidence or when people do not know how things really work when people are in a lawsuit and ask for evidence it gets redundant. He admits to doing the things Monica, Jamie, and the others say he did. The only thing he disagrees with is how they feel. He isn't an authority on mind reading or interpreting another persons feels for them so he can't say he didn't do X when he did X just doesn't agree with how the other person felt due to his "intentions"
