Part of the backstory for the Adult Baby character is that she can't have children and must remain in the dome for good.

So, I guess being trapped there long enough can lead to mental breakdowns.

Another childless character is this one. From the description I think she's supposed to be a Childfree-by-choice person? Which given that you're literally stuck in a breeding farm in this world she's probably depressed as hell, and looks like it. She's basically living the life Reddit r/childfree users like to pretend they are.

It just amazes me how unappealing these characters always look. How does enter and his team manage to make vomit look worse?

It’s almost like being stripped of your rights and locked up for the majority of your life simply for aging is a depressing concept or something

They look like two characters from two completely different shows
Here they are put together, making that even clearer:

Mr. Enter said:
she doesn't have any reference for how actual children think and behave ... and so she attempts to achieve this warped parody of childhood

Okay, thanks for illustrating the point that trying to appeal to children when you have no real experience with children is a terrible idea and only makes you look like a creepy, pandering tool. Sure makes my job easier.

I said it before, but he really shouldn't have put so many rainbows here, considering gay people just get to stay in this prison forever once they turn 18, and the only way to escape is to lock themselves into an unfulfilling relationship with someone they'll never
... How in the fuck did he not realize this? He's stated multiple times that homosexuality will be addressed in the show, and since they cant have kids every homo is getting a garunteed one-way trip to the childfree dome with no say on where they get to live their own lives. Not to mention he has also apparently stated the dome can cause mental issues. I know a lot of shit is dystopian and doesnt survive even the most basic logic but this is one of the worst, this is a MASSIVE fucking problem with the premise. If GA ever does get finished (I know it probably wont) all it takes is one person to realize this and he's going to have the weight of the entire gay community slamming his show.

One of Sally's friends has gay parents, but I don't think it is explained how she got them, if she's an orphan that adopted them, if they had a surrogate, nothing

I've spotted another hole in the "boys vs. girls" arc. In Tales of Childhood Past, boys were being physically forced into acting like girls. Princess Venus "addressed" the issue by creating a holiday where boys are forced to act like girls, and that's supposed to be a happy ending. That's like trying to combat sexual harassment by creating a holiday that revolves around slapping butts without consent.

Another thing I don't get: if Girls and Boys Day is supposed to combat sexism, and sexism is still prevelant in that world, why is everyone fine with it existing? If it made logical sense, it would be a politically-heated celebration like Pride in the real world.

Hey, don’t question the almighty Enter’s feti—I mean, brilliant storytelling!

Is anyone here not aware of the jelly donuts/rice balls meme from Pokemon? Before you google it, take a look at this and tell me if you understand the joke.

jelly donuts.png

In the English dub of Pokemon, Brock refers to a rice ball as a jelly donut since localizers thought western kids wouldn't know what a rice ball was, but they didn't change the visuals at all so it's just Brock biting into a rice ball and calling it a donut.

I'm bringing this up because this is supposedly Enter "doing it right" when it comes to references. Someone in his discord asked why his reference works when he bashed Rise of TMNT for a My Neighbor Totoro visual gag.

jelly donuts vs totoro.png

I would argue that the image of Totoro standing at the bus stop is iconic and has been referenced so many times it's almost like an inside joke, like the Wilhelm scream or the Akira bike stopping scene. If you're a fan of animation, you're bound to see Totoro pop up a few times. The jelly donuts thing is hardly more than a footnote in western dubbing and stopped being funny ages ago. In fact, I feel like Enter's joke falls even more flat if you understand the reference since it just leaves you wondering why he thought it was a good idea to randomly put that there. At least if you don't get the reference you can imagine it's just a lol so randumb joke.

As a bonus, here's affirmation that we're all just haters and trolls. Ironic given how Enter's career is based on telling others their series doesn't work and their ideas are stupid but those comments are invalid only if turned against him.

That’s a shit joke.
Spoofing food magically changing in localization isn’t bad inherently, but mocking a specific reference as a “this makes no sense this is stupid” is just being petty.

While I wouldn't say the "jelly donuts" meme is obscure, the hypocrisy is astounding.
What's even the context for Enter's jelly donut "joke", does it have a point that goes into the episode or is it just there for the sake of being there?

Lol. I'm not going to powerlevel, but I know what I'm talking about when it comes to writing. The Growing Around novel was a trainwreck of awful pacing, blatant grammatical errors, and absent characterization, all built on top of a crumbling premise that was poorly explained. Any decent editor would not want it to be released in the state that it was, it was like the very first draft you make where you're just trying to get ideas on paper, nowhere near a finished work.

All of this applies to the episode scripts, and more. If you're going to force your kink into your work, at least be a little subtle about it and don't make it the focus of a good chuck of the episodes. If you're going to have characters that run concentration camps and electrocute people with modified squirt-guns, don't try to convince us they're the good guys. For God's sake, think through your implications, don't have a kid's mom die of Cancer (or whatever it was), if the doctors of your world are children and you completely refuse to address it. Don't pretend your show has great LGBT representation if people without children are forced to live in a dome that you've shown caused at least one character to have a mental breakdown. Try to at least develop one of your characters to the point they feel like a real person before you fill the work with interchangeable blank slates that contribute nothing. If you can't even describe your characters while trying to recreate them in a Sims video game, that is a sign that you have not written a developed character.

Actually listen to critique. When a ton of people, including some of your biggest fans, look at your work and are creeped out by the constant Little Boy Dragshows, take it as an indication you need to tone it down. When people frequently ask the same questions like "How does medicine work?", realize that you have included story elements that necessitate this being answered. The vast majority of the critique Enter has received, be it in this thread or in YouTube comments, has been legitimate and not just "Enter is a manchild lol" or whatever. I wish he could send his work to a legitimate editor and not one of those online services that you pay to tell you what you want to hear, maybe that would be a decent enough wake-up call for him.

"It comes across as 'what?' for people who don't know the reference and distracting for those who do"

Dipshit, that's what you're fucking doing with your joke.

I love that you can see the bias dripping in his response. When he does it, it's fine, but when this other thing does it, it's wrong for X, Y, and Z reasons that ultimately don't mean shit.

God, this is a reference so pointless, it would make Family Guy groan.
