Even though I know this'll never happen since it would actually be a justified DMCA, but I wish the the Farms hosted YS's source code if only to see how Null handles the inevitable pestering from Alex. Null's an absolute savage when it comes to sloppy DMCA's, and watching him shut down douchey lolcows never gets old.
I had considered attaching the code to my post above, but decided against it as Null already has to deal with enough people throwing masses of less than competent legal notices at him.

Yeah, remember that time he lurked in the chat of some Japanese V-Tuber trying out his game and ended up having to give instructions of how to navigate his buggy mess.

I'd like to know who that V-tuber was, do you remember or have any source?

Edit: nevermind, found it. It happens at minute 36:30 of the stream.

I'm surprised anyone thinks this game will ever be finished. His code is such a mess, I don't know if it's even possible for him to make a finished/well running game with rewriting the majority of the code. I wonder how much longer he's going to keep up this scam before he just takes the money and goes dark lol.
I have to agree with you my good friend! He is a scam artist at best and a sorry soul at worst!! And as an aside, beautiful use of the color tag!!!!!!!!!

I think this is the first time in like years or months that Alex took something down. Don't get why the code if he's so "totally not bothered" by it.
I don't understand why the code hasn't been open-sourced and put under something like a GPL license. With as many eyes on the project as there are these issues could be ironed out relatively faster than him fixing them himself. With as many issues as there are and with him burning bridges with the company that wanted to help him, there's nothing to lose by making the code open and allowing anyone to have a crack at it. I wonder if it's because if a team of people forked it he knows he couldn't contribute anything upstream because his code is so utterly dogshit.

But at that point, wouldn't it be a good learning experience to see how skilled people do the things you wanted to do in an actually consistent and good way?

He's arrogant and the code is so broken it needs to be rewritten from scratch.

The reason he hasn't made it open-source and let other people take a crack at it is because he wants full creative control on the game and for it to follow his ideas. He guards the game jealously, like a dirty little secret that's shat all over the floor and broke grandad's back after slipping on it.

This is why - despite his past admittence to wanting to bring someone on board to fix the game because he's so bad at coding, hence TinyBuild - he evidently was too overbearing about the way he wanted it to be done.

The dyc3 code review video was recommended to be despite never reading about Yandere. Probably because I do watch programming videos.

I skimmed it and it's pretty cringe desu senpai. Not because the code is low quality, but because this guy is seriously diving into decompiled code and then just nit picking at surface level coding details. There's a lot more to optimization and performance than these really minor mathematical redundancies.

You need to actually profile the code. You need to understand the underlying engine and where you're losing performance. CPUs and virtual machines do a lot of magic under the hood and they can make shit looking code run fast. These days everyone is shifting to a more data oriented design paradigm to avoid von neumann bottlenecking. Unity hired Mike Acton to help them with this, which evolved into DOTS, did dyc3 even mention this?

I haven't checked this thread for two years, decided to casually do it today, and absolutely nothing changed aside from the fact that more and more people started to notice the bullshit of Alex and finally opened their eyes, hence the recent surge of memes about him on Twitter etc etc.

What I don't get is why some people still want to see his game finished, it should be more than obvious now that it's unredeemable, unfixable garbage and it's only good for people to laugh at his spaghetti IF ELSE IF ELSE coding. He should be destroyed, not just being pointed at and laugh, he is leeching thousands of dollars and has no respect for his young audience, this circus has been going on for too long.

Even the base concept itself was ridiculous from the beginning to be honest. Only a loser like Alex could have picked up such an idea.
I throughly disagree. YandereDev is doing god's work in that regard. He's milking the money and cash off the hands of retards with unrealistic hopes. It's not about fairness or unfairness: he's making a life out of playing streams, reading emails and not learning. It's working, why the fuck should he change? I'd do the same. There's not a single incentive for him to evolve, he's got a niche not many have got before and milking, same as we milk lolcows for lulz to fill a humor/gossip niche not many understand. With all his defects and imperfections, you got to admire the guy: he's like a politician, doing no work and getting paid off promises, but without coercion and violence. Let him leech his audience, and if he's a money wasting retard that money will keep flowing

His Patreon earnings right now have dropped to $1,700+:

Also some stuff worth grains of salt:

1. Another person spoke about his experience with YandereDev:
(tl;dr more people are leaving the game project and he blocked someone in his friends list for sharing a YouTube comment regarding criticism. Needless to say, we don't know what is actually the comment and what are the actual conversations he had with him, and more, so I'm taking this with a grain of salt)

2. This time, it's someone speaking about his experience working with YandereDev. He told him to work on like 100+ animations and when he suggested an alternative which could get him to work on only 6 for simplication and YandereDev doesn't "subscribe to that school of thought":

I finally got an answer from yandere dev itself to my previous theory on the release date of Osana!

I emailed him pretending to be a fan, and asked him a few questions...

I won't post the screenshots of the emails right now, maybe later, but this is what he said... believe it if you want:

1: Why did you block an youtuber named Shinah Hoakin? (She even helped him make the texture for his lingerie shop at the street):

Yandere dev: Constantly messaged me, i want to be left alone.

My thoughts on answer one: Alex does not want friends, and then he blames gremlins when he is being "harassed" (also known as posting memes of his face)

2: Why do you block people for harmless questions or things?

Yandere dev: I don't.

My thoughts on answer two: Yeah Alex, everybody is gonna believe you against the official screenshots, right? (As if)

3: Will Osana be release in June, or has she been delayed again?

Yandere dev: She would have been released in June, if i didn't get so much harassment in May. (What a surprise! Who could have guessed he would blame harassment again? I certainly did not! :0)

And then to finish it, i asked when Osana would be released:

Yandere dev: July.

Now, the final step is to see what excuse he will use in July... I'm predicting harassment again, and then his patreon will drop below 1000 dollars, and he will drop the game blaming gremlins one last time... What a sad ending to this 6 years theater show... I almost cried due to Alex perfect acting skills!

Why do you ever need a zip or whatever mirror of his code? Just use dnSpy on Assembly-CSharp.dll on the latest build and there you go. Don’t think Alex will ever use obfuscation tools because his code is already broken AF

I haven't caught on with this thread since forever, did he seriously add another fucking easter egg instead of finishing Osana since SNAP mode was released?

Someone should make a Yanderedev Simulator. It could include such fun gameplay systems as begging for money, finding excuses for not working on the game, finding excuses to not learn better coding skills, labeling anyone who questions you a gremlin, coming up with new gameplay mechanics when you haven't even implemented the ones you were already working on, finding chumps to make you free assets, stuff like that.
And I guarantee you that it'd come out well before Yandere Simulator does.

I personally have trouble getting dnSpy to cooperate on my desktop, which isn't surprising since I've had that thig for 8 years. And I use Linux on my laptop so I have no means by which to fuck with the game. Also, people are lazy - they'd rather go to github than do the work themselves.

I also caught this video floating around recently, and it's convincing me of the necessity to have a Yandere Simulator fan/hater community thread:

may i reiterate that she was supposed to be released in FEBRUARY. i swear the sun will crash into the earth before this man stops making excuses.

And before the February excuse she was planned for late 2019, and maybe there were another few dates before that (I'm unaware of any). There's a very good reason why the thread has the title it does.
