While I do agree with you that they're both remarkably similar nowadays, there is a minor point of contention I want to make: Keemstar's entire livelihood has always been focused on internet drama. Ethan started off as a comedian of sorts who was tied in with people like Filthy Frank, iDubbbz, and JonTron. It wasn't until the Leafyishere fiasco when drama started to eclipse the actual comedic shit he was doing at that point in time.
The comments of his recent videos on the podcast, the Keemstar drama, and the H3 subreddit are indeed full of spergs who'll blindly white knight for Ethan, but there still is a sizeable chunk of his fanbase that only really know of Ethan because of the YouTube poops, reaction videos, and sketch comedy stuff he did on the original channel.
