Zoom is definitely an asshole and he lies when it suits his needs. I don't think he's a pedo though. I actually believe it was just him and his girlfriend fucking around. Was it stupid? All I've seen to accuse him is someone with a common voice in a news story and a standalone audio recording, involving another adult, neither of them sounding serious. As careful as Zoom is, why would he record actual evidence of this if he was watching CP? Considering that all these people record each other, and no juicy Zoom clips have been let out, I can't help but think that he'd be smart enough to not outright admit to a crime that fucked up on mic.

You can think he's a piece of shit for other reasons but I don't think this is the way to go. Just something that's been bugging me for a minute.

It definitely wasn't an endorsement of what Zoom did but Jim doesn't condemn it either, he just kinda glosses over it and moves on, Jim said "if you were a pedophile I'd imagine there would be more evidence of it". So either Jim doesn't think Zoom is a pedophile or he does and just didn't want Zoom to fuck with him. There's another clip of Jim saying something similar before this but I couldn't find it, I know it's out there somewhere either in this stream or one before it.

Honestly, I hadn't heard the "Tabby Tapes" until recently. I only knew of Zoom from IBS, and I thought he had some pretty funny trash talking skills. So when people said "Zoom is a pedophile," I just kind of shrugged because let's face it—it's a weaponized term, and people throw that accusation around casually. Especially the IBS crowd. I regret that the term "pedophile" is trivialized in this way.

But holy fuck... those recordings, if you listen from start to finish, they don't sound remotely like a joke. I don't see how anyone would find it funny. Not saying people should rush to judgment, but further inquiry is warranted.

I think another important thing to bring up is the context of this exchange. It's over 5 hours into the soul-suckingly awful IBS Apocalypse stream and Metokur's been trying to end it for over an hour at this point, only for these spergs nobody knows or cares about to keep injecting something new to keep shouting at each other for, just when things are finally wrapping up, multiple times. It doesn't shock me he'd tried to just get things to end at this point.

The other clip of him saying something similar is, I believe, on an old Killstream back when Ralph was buddying up with Corey, who had already shown how much of a petty, alogging swatter he could be. No reason for Metokur to want the headache at that point either when he could just quietly leave the situation and let Ralph deal with the fallout he invited on himself.

It is odd that he's been caught doing a ton of illegal things and hasn't had to face any repercussions for it.
